I've watched this soooo many times over the years and I'm more impressed each time. Your playing is impeccable and the tones from the DS Mini remind me why I bought the amp and why it remains my favorite of all my amps. Props to you, Doug, and to Dave Friedman.
I actually bought this amp years ago because of this video. And it’s still in my amp arsenal and every bit as good as you made it sound here Doug. As I’ve stated many times your one of my favorite players and this video is a great showcase why. Incredible note choices and killer bursts of speed and technique but always musical and melodic. To be honest Doug sounds the same (awesome) thru any amp..imho but this may be the best amp out there right now. straight up killer tones. thanks for posting this Doug.

Three thumbs down? I can understand this may not be everybody's cub o tea, but to vote that it isn't good or done well? Thank you Doug for the obvious time you spend putting together these review videos. You do a fantastic job of showing the variety of sounds an amp or pedal can get. And do it in the context of a creative work of music. It is truly a joy to watch and listen to your video's.
Besides a great showcase for Friedman's amps, this shows why Doug's one of my favorites. We know he can shred with the best of them, but the solo here is quality of notes vs. quantity.

You're a killer player and the riffs you come up are amazing! I get so lost in your playing that I forget to focus on the gear you're using. You seriously make everything sound great!
The amp is legit!!! It gives me everything I kinda wasn't getting out of Marshall's. Tight, focused, warm, with plenty dirt at a perfect band volume. Plug straight in and Rock out. I did try a couple of cabs. The open back with the 65w creamback was the sure winner. I couldn't and wouldn't opt for more watts but they are available for those who need more. But more comes with a price. And not so nice when a bar manager is complaining your too loud. I don't want to be that guy 😂.

I love it when I find something I haven't seen before such as a new, badass player with incredible vids. This makes 2 in 4 months with Glenn Proudfoot being the other. Doug, thanks man! Inspiration at it's finest!!
Great demo of this incredibly versatile amp. While the drive sounds are awesome the clean sounds really surprised me too. Great master volume, always sounds thick, articulate and rich with just the right amount of chime. IMHO the best low watt amp I've ever heard / owned.

Great as always. Doug, what gauge of strings do you generally use in E standard tuning? Your bending and vibrato is one of the most impressive aspects of your phrasing. Please keep the videos coming!

Aside from Friedman Amps being the top line, in many guitarist's opinions, I saw Doug play in Albany, N.Y. w/ Edgar Winter, along with many You Tube Clips, and this guy is a remarkable guitarist! Where has he been all these years?!
Doug, nice playing first of all! Have you tested the PT20 and do you have an opinion on which amp has the best tone? They both are great sounding amps. I have a BE100 but its just to large, and i'm leaning toward either the PT or the DS. Thanks. YOU ROCK!!!

I had a splawn quickrod for a while but it was just too much amp for me. Was able to sell it and get this and a 112 cab from Friedman. Great Marshall sound and no frills!

You be an awesome player brother. So i bought the dirty mini. Sounds good but i need an od , or boost pedal to punch the hot side when playing in small - medium clubs. Love the clean to on the edge of brown sound. Any suggestions since theres only a thousand to choose from. Thanks for your inspiration, If i can speak for many...Keep rippin it !
Friedman amps always sound so killer but I have a question... I know you work with them so if you can't answer that's fine but just curious as to what your favorite amp in their line is? Cheers
