Really love the dirty Shirley and certainly this is even better in comparison to options for even more gain and opportunities. However, I am using a Marshall studio jubilee 20 W combo with Green back. I wonder I have just ordered this and I’m curious do you think it will perform well with this combo amplifier as I have gotten a little frustrated truly not in love with the jubilee, but not willing to trade it off and lose a fortune, certainly just a little disappointed in the amplifier overall Paul love the DS sound from Friedman and hope this will rectify that and make my combo a little more pleasurable. Some of the sharpness surely has to go away with taking over the preamp. I just wonder if you think the green back is the wrong speaker and I want the bottom end. Will this help me get that or should I consider adding a back extension cab thanks. 2:14

Were you running the IR-D's FX send into the front of the Fender Bassman in that part of the video? I absolutely loved the Friedman Dirty Shirley the one time I had the chance to play one and am debating selling some pedals to get this, but I'm wondering if it is versatile enough if I ever needed to use it as a standard drive pedal into the front of an amp without an effects loop, or if it can only be used into a power amp or direct.

Can I go for the more vintage Yngwie Malmsteen sounds with this? I cannot be bothered getting a full stack. Was thinking of running it through my Grandmeister 40 Deluxe or my HT Metal 60 power amp.

Tubes are driven at same, full voltage as his Friedman amps

Just got my IR-D today. It joins the IR-X I had. Are they pricey for a pedal? Sure, but I now have a Twin Sister amp, Plexi and BE100 for far less than any one of those amps. Sure, I need to use one of the several Power Amps, I already had. But even throwing that into the price it's still far less than any one of those Friedman Amps/Marshall amps.

Does it run off a standard 9v power supply? Or do you have to use the one included. Just curious because I want to put it on my board.

@@noahromeo6451 Comes with a 12v 800mAa supply. But included manual says 9v to 12 v supply, that can provide 800 or more mA. So depending on the 9v supply, yes.

I am really hoping this gives my Marshall Jubilee studio a new Sound love the dirty Shirley Sound not the price. I wish I hadn’t spent $2000 on the jubilee however, as I mentioned in an earlier comment before I saw this one, just not willing to take that financial hit in order to make the trade Gig amplifier, but I think this will make it even better and hopefully when I get paid again in a couple of weeks, I can add the IRX. It seems like having both of them would give me the ultimate options with my amplifier. Hopefully, this will work out well. I hate to waste money, especially when it comes to equipment for Sound. Thanks for any feedback on working with the Marshall studio, jubilee or speaker, suggestions? 3:41

What for are the tubes, if this unit anyway only sounds as thin, scratchy and unbalanced as any average tubeless Chinese budget pedal? If alone my JMP-1 sounded so bad and trashy, I had already sold it decades ago.... But I anyway never liked any Friedman gear, not the amps, not the pedals. Highly overpriced too for these poor sounds.

The clips with the IRD going through the return of the amps here sound killer, where's that IR from? Thinking of putting the IRD into the return of my Marshall SV20 but undecided as i may get the IRX instead. Loving these preamps
