“How can we engineer materials that conduct electricity without any losses? So-called high temperature superconductivity has been discovered more than 30 years ago, but the mechanism behind this phenomenon is still not understood and it can therefore not be used to develop new materials.
As a theoretical physicist; I am interested in the mechanism in such quantum systems. These are systems consisting of many interacting particles.
In my research I use a combination of methods from quantum many-body physics and artificial intelligence techniques.
The support of the Studienstiftung made it possible for me, to do research on the topics I am most interested in.“
