Anyone seen any good movies lately? Originally released in 1992, this song from the Disney classic, Aladdin, will no doubt evoke some pure nostalgia for a lot of you folks! Enjoy our take on Friend Like Me performed by members of the Jazz Ambassadors. Special mention to Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Davis on trumpet!

For marching band we are doing Arabian nights as our opener. I cant wait. I love watching you guys because it makes me a better player ( at trumpet ). Thank you for the uploads and keep up the awesome work

Arabian nights is a bit difficult because it is modal - e.g. its in neither a major or minor key.

One great musician I’d love to hear y’all work on is Chuck Mangione. He’s written some great stuff over the years. That would give your flugelhorn player a real chance to show his chops. Great job on this tune!!!!

This is a good example of the difference between 8 to the bar and 2/2 in that 8 to the bar has bounce where 2/2 usually does not with the exception of the polka. (The disney version is 16 to the bar).
