then its appropriate while i do love the pairing for the most part the relationship kinda killed off most of monica's character that wasnt just "shes bossy and a control freak, aint that hilarious?"
Do you all realise this is the last reference to the Duck in the show? The next time anyone brought him and the Chick up was in "The Last One" where it was basically confirmed they died some time ago.
@@joemckim1183 They're apparently both five to ten years, but taking into account other details such as that they acquired the duck when it was an adult, and the possibility that Chandler and Joey just made some mistakes caring for farm animals in a New York flat...
Chandler was THE catch out of the three guys, and they treated him so pourly, always implying that he married up. In my opinion, Monica did. She was very unfair to him in the whole wedding planning and let Rachel mistreat him as well.
Honestly, if Monica was a real-life person, she'd be the type to get married repeatedly because of her need to be the centre of attention. We have multiple episodes of Chandler having to rein in her need for extravagance and the day after the wedding she's bitter that she's no longer a bride and 'just some guy's wife'. Even though it makes sense due to her status as the 'unfavourite' child, it's still pretty awful to Chandler.
@@SculptExpress-gv8jp Apparently you didn't learn at school. Friends is grounded in the real-life issues and situations faced by young adults. Farce is based on ludicrously improbable situations and while a few moments in Friends go there (Ross' leather pants debacle), it's not the norm. Unlike say a sitcom like Fawlty Towers or the IT Crowd.
Well when making a plan you can go bottom up or top down, so basically you either look how much money you have to work with and go from there or you figure out how much money you need to get everything you want done and start trimming your costs from there, if you need to.
Ross getting a pet for companionship after his divorce is pretty standard. Most men get a dog though. Him then bickering with Marcel like they're a bitterly married couple always made me laugh. For the same reason, I enjoyed Chandler and Joey's interactions with the Chick and the Duck portraying them as a couple with a new baby. You're right that they overplayed them though. Sitcom writers always think 'That got a big laugh so lets repeat the joke over and over and over'. Like putting Sheldon's knocking gag into pretty much every episode of season 2 and 3 of TBBT.
It's true that the show peaked in quality season 5, but the later seasons are all still good and rewatchable, with the first half of season 7(because of Chandler) and season 9 being the worst
