It's so surreal that we are still hearing new music from Linkin Park after all this time. I remember first listening to Linkin Park. I think it was around 2003 when I was staying at my cousin's house on the weekend and he introduced music from Hybrid Theory to me. I instantly loved the music and went to buy the album on CD at a store to play in my walkman. I would listen to all the tracks while riding the bus to and from school every day. As soon as I heard about Meteora's release, I bought the cd for that as well. Eventually, I upgraded from the walkman to an MP3 player and would load all the songs on there and continued to listen almost daily. Linkin Park's music was my first real introduction to music and got me listening to other bands. Fast forward to August 2014, I was able to go to a Linkin Park concert for the first time, which was also my first ever concert. Their live performance was amazing. I wish I had gotten a closer seat but couldn't afford better at the time. Linkin Park will forever be my favorite band. Their music got me through so much in my childhood and my 20's. The day I read of Chester's passing, I felt shocked. I saw a headline and immediately though "no this has to be some fake articles from some site like "The Onion". But then more and more news outlets were posting articles about his passing... and I was floored. That entire day, I felt empty. I felt as if I had lost a family member or close friend that day. After his passing, I couldn't listen to Linkin Park's music without instantly tearing up. I still do sometimes but I'm able to listen to everything now without as much trouble. Anyway, if you've read this far into this random comment from this nobody on Linkin Park's video, I appreciate it lol. I hope everyone is having a great day / night wherever you are and just know that you matter and you are loved.

The day Chester died, a part of millions of people also died. It still hurts, but we're still fighting.

I lost my cat, also named Chester, just 7 days after this was released... Had him for 16 years, and we had been listening to LP together since I was a teen. Both Chester Bennington and my cat Chester had been major mental health boosts in my life and I'll forever be thankful for them.

Chester Bennington's passing was one of the most heart-wrenching losses of someone I've never met. It still hurts to this day. It took me days of crying to really process it, and even right now, watching this video makes me miss him and want to tear up all over again. We miss you, Chester, and we love you so much ❤❤‍🩹.

Ole Chester…I remember the day I woke up early one morning and heard my brother playing Papercut while playing The Matrix game on GameCube, I instantly became a fan. Been a fan ever since 2004. I’m 26 now, still tear up when I hear most Linkin Park songs…it’s nice to see the band still thriving and living the best way to live. The world lost a shining light when he passed. Chester, and LP saved my life as a teen. I spent my adolescence in psych wards, group homes, and residential facilities. I never gave up thanks to their music. I'm 38 now, and though I'm covered in scars (both physical and emotional), I'm always reminded that I'm a warrior. Every time I hear Chester's voice, I know I'm safe. Thank you for releasing this. Feels like a warm hug that we all desperately needed.

It took me until today to watch this music video. LP is still just so hard for me I cannot imagine the thoughts and feelings the guys in the band have to process when putting together old tracks and music videos to go with them. I really appreciate Papercuts and Friendly Fire is an incredible song. You somehow were able to capture all that lightning and bottle it up just to release it in 2024 for us again. Thank you.

I had writers block for a young adult novel that i was in the process of writing, but now thanks to this song, i know EXACTLY what to put down. "We are going into Yellow Eyes territory, everyone make sure to get buckled in." The pilot called back as Odin and Hina looked over the canopy of trees in the dark, but there was nothing they could see. "Listen, Odin. Whatever happens, we will protect you, you know? Hades, Horus, me... its not fair what Catherine is making you do." Odin looked longingly out of the window, unsure of what to say, the words seem to get stuck. What could he say? Hina, Hades, and Horus were the creme of the crop of the Alpha project. The best of the best. And Odin himself along with the others like him, failures. He wanted to be happy, but Catherine's cold voice rang in his mind, "The lot of you brats are absolute failures. Complete waste of food and shelter..." Odin looked away from the window as he couldnt bear to look at his own reflection, and then a loud ringing noise went off, blaring some kind of alarm. Hades, Hina, and Horus all tensed up, all too familiar of that sound, as the pilot shouted in the headset "Enemy contact! Get in the seats, NOW!" Odin flung himself into the seat next to Hina, but he noticed she had some issues getting buckled in. Odin stood up and quickly inspected the cause while the pilot yelled and Hades screamed something, but Odin was focused on his friend. The belt had gotten caught on the other side, so he reached in between the seats and gently, but urgently, tugged it loose. Then an insanely loud boom echoed and rocked the HELLCAT, flinging Odin against the hull of the aircraft, knocking him out and the ramp fell down, sucking him out of the ship. Hades, Hina, and Horus all screamed in grief and pain, while the pilot continued to fly the aircraft, but the news only got worse, "we are losing altitude, we are going down, prepare for impact!" Odin snapped back to reality as he lay face down in thick dirt, and every part of his body hurt. He rolled over and heard the sounds of gun fire and explosions in the distance. Odin tried to pick himself up off the ground, and all he could do was cry. Then he heard them. Sweet Teeth. Yellow Eyes. Monsters. They surrounded him, and in the pitch blackness of the forest, these animals seemed like creatures of nightmares, with deep yellow eyes that gazed hungrily towards the now helpless boy. Odin cried and gave up, accepting his end, not having the energy to even fight for whatever remained of his life. He bawled and howled, letting loose a hailstorm of pent up and repressed emotions, anger, hate, sadness, grief, depression. Odin reached down and wrapped his fingers around the grip of his pistol and brought the weapon out of its holster. He held it up to his head, and with tears streaking down his face, and emptiness in his heart, he closed his eyes. "Stop this senselessness." A strange voice called. Odin paused just before his finger pulled the trigger, and he looked around. The Lupus had spoken, and sat in front of him. It spoke with his own voice, which immediately creeped Odin out. "Thou art a troubled child, no? What a miserable life thou hast gone through." Odin nodded. "A monster they treat you as, it is obvious. A monster, they made you. Like us, you are." Another voice spoke up, and it was an Ursa. It sat next to Odin, and reached out gently, pulling the gun from his hand. Then other Yellow Eye species began surrounding Odin, wrapping themselves around him. The Bovis at his head, the Ursa at his left, the Lupus at his right, and the Carrion sat on the branches above him. Their deep emotionless yellow eyes stared at Odin, and these animals, made monsters, wrapped themselves around Odin, guarding him. "It is too early to give up, is it not?" A deep and hissy voice called out, but Odin could not pinpoint the source. "You have yet to achieve your goals, child. I will not stop you if you desire this path. But you have something to fight for, do you not?" Odin went unconscious from crying and the pain. The Yellow Eyes furled themselves around him, creating a protective dome around him. Hades, Hina, and Horus were fighting for their lives, Hades spraying fire into the dark forest and illuminating the Yellow Eyes to shoot, the burning wreckage of their HELLCAT keeping the Yellow Eyes from attacking in the back. All they could hear was the inhuman screeching and hissing of monsters, too high pitched to be natural, far too low to be normal. No matter how many bullets the group put into the crowd of Sweet Teeth, they did not seem to diminish. They would run out of ammo before long, and there was no end to the monsters. A scream alerted the squad as a member of their fireteam vanished into the darkness of the forest, his voice instantly lost in the swarm of screeching, but they dared not to directly step into the light of the flames, but sharp claws and sharper tongues were only moments away from tender flesh.

One of the bands i regret never seeing live when i had the chance. RIP Chester.... at least music lives on forever 🤘😢

My son is 4 years old, He's named Chester. We decided to name him this after Chester saved both mine and my wives lives separately when we were younger. Chester will always be with us and my 4 year old is proof that it doesn't have to end the nasty way, not if you talk. Not if a light is left on. Chester is one of the few people who passed away that I truly miss.

I am copy/pasting here a comment I made in a reaction video just now because...I don't know, just because I'm emotional and had to come here to the official channel. Okay. His smile while playing the guitar, yes!!! This is how I wanna remember him. What actually BROKE me was the fistbump with Mike, because they truly were best friends in every sense of the word and I mean...if he had anything to do with the putting together of this video I can't even begin to comprehend what must have gone on in his mind throughout. Joe was probably in charge of the visuals as usual, I guess, and it's not like all five of them wouldn't have a hard time processing it all, but it's different with Mike, isn't it? And he surely did most of the audio work, which certainly was devastating enough. Goddammit. RiP Chester, you beautiful soul, you were too good for this godforsaken world.
