Since they had to drive hours away to pick up a new one, and Monica, Chandler, and Phoebe had somewhere to be, Ross and Rachel made them promise not to leave, but they did so now we are cursed in 2020.

@@rebecca8525 no, there will be a reunion, but it's just a reunion show, as in the actors on a couch as themselves talking about the show. They've all been vocal about not wanting to continue the story, and as much as I'd like to see them back I think it's true that it would ruin it. Took me some years to realize you shouldn't always hope for sequels to movies or shows because they often taint the memory of the original when they just don't have anything meaningful to add.

My 30th is in May. We’d wanted something big, since we deferred big parties for my 16th, 18th, and 21st because I was ill. And my mom is declining, so we wanted to... make something of the moment. But now it looks like another birthday alone in my apartment. It feels like that pretty much sums everything up. You think things will go one way, after years of bad luck and bad health. And then, nope. 😅 I do hate it for everyone who’s stuck inside on their birthdays; “rescheduling” birthdays works, but something about it is less fun.

As of 2024 3/4 actors who played Emma’s grandparents are still alive. Marlo Thomas who played Rachel’s mother. And Elliot Gold and Christina pickles who played Ross’s parents. Only Ron Leibman who played Dr Green has passed in 2019 right before Emma turned 18.
