yeah people would say Ross wasn't funny back when this show was on the air. Looking back, I feel really bad for jumping on the bandwagon. As an adult I can see he is VERY funny and has good comedic timing!

It appears Phoebe wrote "This is mine. Don't even DARE!!!", but "Dare" seems to be written far larger than the rest, and it's suggested (by her banging the pen) that she dotted her exclamation points with such force as to make holes in the paper. So, it's not *what* she said, it's the way she wrote it suggesting rage while its being written. Hesse why his co-workers are calling him "mental" and "angry".

No it’s actually not funny. It’s the devil in the detail. It’s the willingness to normalise violence under the guise of comedy and plant little seeds of destruction with no social responsibility. It’s taking the joke too far into dark terrain having lulled people into a state of false security and trust because you entertained them and made them laugh and the audience formed an emotional attachment to the characters and ultimately its selling out and it’s witchcraft. I know I sound like the super intense psychoanalytic guy from that episode where he ripped the social dynamics of their friendship group apart but people didn’t take this as just entertainment and left it at that. I loved this show but people have conducted their lives imitating the way these characters lived and mistook it for truth and reality when it was about engineering men and women to live a certain way. It had many nice moments don’t get me wrong but it’s mixing truth with lies and people have died because of this. I wish it wasn’t that serious but it is. There are certain things that shouldn’t be said and it’s not appropriate to joke about stabbing someone. One should refuse point blank to say these things. I get that Phoebe was a quirky eccentric character but like it’s crossing a line and it’s evil as subtle as it might seem. And frankly everyone around me is like a cyclops and they serve the devil so I see the effects. People idolised these tv shows and lifestyles represented therein. And I loved it as just entertainment but most people are spiritually dead and on the broad path that the Bible speaks about. Canned laughter or no canned laughter to make it alright it’s not funny to normalise and desensitise people to the notion of stabbing someone and treat it as a joke. That’s weird and evil and it’s teaching people to be hard hearted and cold and not to take these things with due gravity. It’s not ‘He or she unfriended me first on IG’. It’s stabbing someone and trying to make that alright because the rest of the episode made you laugh and forget your troubles and entertained you for 30 mins. I just don’t think it’s appropriate. The thief the devil is just all over that piece of dialogue dying to get into your home, into your head and destroy and end your life. All over it.

Well, they were all good, but from season 5 onward the scripts kinda played to David's strengths in physical comedy, his expressions are hilarious and on point

His frustration is so good in that scene with the professor, it's so realistic

They were, but you still don't fuck someone right after going on said break, especially if you supposedly love the person you're on a break from and hope to get back together with them. The show totally gaslit Rachel over the break thing. The argument wasn't originally whether they were on a break - it was whether Ross was justified in sleeping with another woman.

A break is not a breakup. Being on a break doesn't justify CHEATING.

@Alan James Nah, that's not how we do things in my household. In our fridge we have a common section. Anything we put there is something that either me or my GF can take freely. She gets the door. Everything she puts in the door is for her and her alone. I get the bottom shelf. Anything that is put there belongs to me and only me. And it's the same with the cupboards. We have a common shelf and then a private shelf that belongs to her or to me. And that system works. At least for us, it does.

Post Carol and Emily prior he’s more passive , and reserved less sarcastic. Afterwards he kind of grows up and really comes out of his shell at least imo I agree too his storylines become more interesting and he became one of the funniest cast members.

Where I work we have a common lunch room and someone kept stealing my yogurts again and again (which I always left labeled). Two of those times I even left a note asking to not take it, but it still went missing. I had enough and one day I put a good amount of laxative in one and left it there as usual, and my yogurts never disappeared again. In my opinion, that kind of behaviour is rude and plain disrespectful.
