at the beginning subtitles said ''party of adventures'', but the characters say ''yuusha'' wich means hero, so they are ''the party of heroes'', thats why they had a parade and thats why so many people were at himmel's funeral since a hero of humanity has pass away. happy holidays!

Himmel didn’t die young or prematurely. He was approximately between 70 and 85 years old when passed. It’s Heiter that’s outliving his contemporaries and he hints at wanting to live longer.

Told you I'd be here for these reactions! I am a FANTASY NUT! Literal LOON for Fantasy as a genre by itself. Frieren has been my fictional crack for the better half of 16 weeks now (episode 16 just aired today). Also the only anime I have watched this year that I would consider to be AOTY contender along side Vinland Saga S2. Ready for these reactions!

I only just found your reaction or I'd have posted this a week ago. Some things about what you're discussing: Fern is approximately 9 years old when Frieren begins training her. In keeping with German pronunciation, Frieren is pronounced free-ren, and Heiter is high-tur. Himmel and Heiter are similar age. In combination, episodes 1-4 are the prologue for the story. You're literally watching the beginning after the end. Dwarves live about 300 years, elves in the thousands - Frieren is a "young" thousand plus. The wide-eyed gasp is a common method of demonstrating character epiphany/revelation in this series. Audio is used extremely well in this series - they both increase and decrease volume to emphasize events in different way. Get used to the video quality - after 16 episodes I haven't seen them back off the quality yet.

There have been many PRG games and typical stories of the hero and the demon lord, such as Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. But after the story's happy ending, why didn't we think about how the lives of the characters of different races continued, or how the world changed?🤔😧 The focus of this anime is very interesting. Also, words in this anime are very important and have delicate meanings, and the characters' communication and small gestures are very beautiful and I feel that they have a very deep meaning. A very delicate and sad, yet warm and beautiful life story.

The names are actually German. Frieren means freezing Himmel can mean sky or heaven Heiter means cheerful Eisen means iron Fern means distant or far Ewig means forever or eternal
