Remember when Frieren told Fern that ordinairy offensive Magic was enough to defeat any mage of the current era? Now we see why: Frieren's Magic is definetely way beyond anything a current mage could pull off. ...She literally creates black holes and warps the very fabric of space & time. If this is how she fought the Demon King...

And then you realize that Serie is way older than Frieren, that she is specialized in war magic, and that she has a much larger mana amount. We've never really seen much about what she can do, but if Frieren can do all that, I can't even begin to imagine Serie's power.

Ubel's atypical neurology makes her very dangerous in the world of magic. Since she's a little bit off, she can imagine things that others can't - or thinks senseless things are sensible, making them possible. It's a very interesting concept.

12:15 The last time Frieren had to use the spell that her clone was forced to use on Fern was against the Demon King. Fern pushed her (clone) as hard as the Demon King did.

Richter's question of "Who are you?" was either directed at Edel, who was being chummy with him and talking up the golem's powers despite not having interacted with Ricther before this point, or towards the last guy carried out of the tomb by the golem in the background, that is to say the jerk who refused to collaborate and went in by himself when the test started.

Who are you is simply a joke because most often all protagonist of a simpler story seem to know each other automatically. In this case Richter never met Ehre 😅

I don't think shounen gets to claim all action scenes. Even if we say this show is technically a shounen, it clearly conducts itself in a drastically different manner. The action is well-warranted so, to me, it doesn't feel like a change of genre. We still get the impressive character development and world building, just with a couple more action scenes than usual. I think it's very fitting to shift like this as Frieren begins to think of her new companions as contemporaries instead of children. They're much closer to the level of her old party than when the show started and, in another way, so is she. So the focus shifts slightly from old memories to new adventures.
