Did you see the blood as the blade pressing in deeper? Even Aura's hair getting cut as it's pressed against her neck by the sword. Top notch animation there.

Last episode, we learned that those strong of will could resist the spell. Frieren had to break Aura's will, so she couldn't resist the spell long enough to cancel it. I think that's part of the reason she offed Aura in this "shock, awe, and disrespect" fashion.

Frieren hit her like a kid on Call of Duty with the "kys". There's heat eventually, this episode was just showing why Frieren is German for "ice cold"

@@BlissfulKingdomReacts Specifically, her name is German for "frozen" or "freezing." All the character names are German words. "Eisen" means "iron," "Heiter" means "laughter," and "Himmel" means "heaven." As for what Frieren made Aura do, it's no different than what Aura did to all of those headless knights she controlled. Payback's a _bitch._
