In this single episode they tell you that the demon king wanted to kill all the elves and also show exactly why they wanted to kill them as they can live for such a long time and they could become the only real threat towards their kind who literally revolves around magic and mana. What a subtle and amazing way of storytelling
Elf was the threat of all demon It'd be an extinction of Demon too. In Frieren time, it might be a Prophecies. But in 7 Sages of Destruction time, it's really Frieren. She's the Most danger entity for Demon. Even Schlatt must erased many information to Frieren because it'd be fatal (Schlatt can see the Future)
i dont remember a real reason in the manga or if there is on in the LN but from what it seems it makes most sense that the elves would have the best ability to slaughter the demons which is why the demon king made the order but im not fully sure @@yuri611
FRIEREN SOLD 250k+ copies back in 2021. this anime is so loved in japan you will see billbords, busses and even shops advertising this anime. PRETTY THIS WILL BE THE ANIME OF THE YEAR!
I'm not totally sure about that. Many people don't like slower-paced animes, where not the action/fight scenes are the main thing. (I love it, but there can be plenty of people who don't vibe with it)
They had the same kind of busses, billboards ecc for oshi no ko too. I've been to japan and it's not something that only frieren had sorry to ruin your hype. It probably won't be anime of the year.
@@Giacuzz The first episode of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End was broadcast on a television program called “Friday Road Show” In the world of Japanese animation, this can be considered proof of a hit animation
It was already establishd that Flamme was a human. Back when Frieren found her book in that huge tree Eisen discovered and she had a flasback to 1,000 years before when Flamme cast the magical barrier on the little sprout that would grow to be that huge tree Frieren told Flamme that she would be long dead by the time that tree fully grew and Flamme replied that yes, she'd be dead but Frieren would still be alive. Plus, Flamme is a legendary mage in human culture.
Flamme is known as the legendary founder of all human magic in Frieren's "modern" age... also her whole strategy is their version of DBZ's hiding your Ki.
Are you really surprised about / didn't realize until just now about her having lived for 1000 years? Even back in Episode 4 it was clear that Flamme lived in an age that's more than 1000 years ago... she even said clearly "even after 1000 years I am still dancing in her palms"...
They mention her exact age like once or twice. It's very easy to miss those lines if you turn your head away for a second or two. You can't really expect group reactors to stay 100% focused on reading subs at all times.
Aura, Linie... there are lots of demons in the manga who are very interesting characters. That's one of the big accomplishments of the story : even the bad guys are fascinating characters, though absolutely "evil".
It is Flam-me. Even in English it would be pronounced with the separation. There are two m's after all and they both have to be pronounced. For example: im-mediately, com-munication, inflam-mable, and so on. Love your reactions! Love this show!
The fact that Frieren is stronger does not make the demons "weak". Aura was one of the most powerful demons still alive, powerful - and smart - enough to destroy whole armies. Frieren is just more powerful AND deceitful enough to hide it so her enemies make mistakes. Don't berate demons, they are awesome opponents :)
@@stbjona131Aura is only one of the 7 powerful demon subordinates of demon king. There's more to come. I think her master's master who is another elven is more powerful
@@stbjona131 It's a fantasy series, not a battle shonen. There are still other demons with better abilities than her that you'll probably see in season 2.
It's insane how well demons imitate sapience. They're NOT sapient, but they evolved an entire set of behaviors and thought patterns to seem sapient just to get their prey, humans, to sympathize with them.
the strength of frieren is not her large amount of mana(her mana is larger she only show 30-40%) but the ability to analyze and copy demon skills and how deactivate them faster
Give them a break. These people watch dozens of anime every week 😅 Personally, I watch reaction videos to see people’s different kinds of reaction to animes I like. Forgetting things and then be shocked again by information already revealed before, is also a kind of funny reaction. It’s alright.😊
I love this philosophy of demons. How their strength is so tied into their pride, the notion of constantly hiding it is utterly alien to them. The best equivalent I could think of is this: It would be as if an animal spent it’s entire life, pretending to be an undesirable mate, it’s just something they cannot comprehend; pretended to be…”lesser” for more than just a brief moment. Just shows that these demons truly are just beasts.
We're number 2 on MAL, baby! Frieren just got 9.07 on My Anime List, it's only below Fullmetal Alchemist, and it might surpass it. Frieren has the most steady and continuous growth I've ever seen in an anime on MAL, it started as 8.8, then 8.9, then 9.02 and after the last episode it got 9.07. If it goes on like this, it might become number 1 anime, and I love it!
When you see Master Frieren's moves, do you think of someone who can do the same move? That's right, it's the special move of Meliodas holding the Broken Blade.
Demons are powerful, but Flamme mastered methods specifcally to to play to weaknesses she noticed by studying them. Flamme is an incredible mage, who had amazing mana for her age, and was able to manipulate it to such a level that she destroys the three mages in an instant without using a staff. Just wait until you meet her master 😉
I didn't read the manga carefully, but I think Flamme's mana concealment is not perfect. When she killed the 3 demons during the first scenes of the episode, her full mana was exposed after she attacked them, Frieren however lived for a long time that's why she said to Aura that it became natural for her to hide her mana to the point that even if other mages has detection abilities, they still can't feel frieren's.
Props to Aura's VA for starting out soúnding incredibly arrogant and in control, before her voice was laced with doubt and meant to reassure herself, to the despair when she realised how utterly fucked she was.
flemme isnt even the strongest of serie aprentice ...her biggest achievement was to convinced the empire to learn magic .. before they only fight with bow and sword , now they use magic as well.. she was the first human to teach magic to human..
this anime itself hide it's mana greatly, most would think it's another cringe fantasy or even isekai if they never gave this a chance or read the manga.
No action at the final confrontation, but more thrilling than anything I've seen this last year. At last 50% is from Evan Call's incredible background music rousing the emotion. Absolutely EPIC.
I prefer not to Americanize the name Flamme especially with the pronunciation is already in the anime. Maybe in the dub you can start calling her Flame lol
She stats that in a battrle of offensive magic her victory was far from certain, so she didnt want to get pulled into such a contest...the only path to assured victory was to bank on Aura's pride and arrogance.
