I was saying "shame" to all the negativity. You have a lovely horse and I don't think you shared this looking for training tips. Thank you for sharing you beautiful horse.
Beautiful horse! I can say some people don't understand horses and there trainers and everyone has there own opinion but the owners are not trying to scare the horse but simply trying to let him figure out the course of jumping on his own. Training a horse does take time. You can see he is starting to understand things with a little encouragement! Great job!
He’s saying “Dad save me”. He keeps looking for reassurance outside the ring bless him. Can see why you love his big personality. He’s such a noble beast.
Tara, I just want to give you some serious praise for making sure your boys have lots of active mental stimulation. Under saddle, for sure, but especially when they're free from any tack restraints and choose to interact with you. So often we see the heartbreak of horses living a tied down and repetitive existence. With Apollo and Farouk , over the time of your videos , we can see their characters , intelligence and personalities emerging and blooming . And their love and trust in you. It's as it should be.
Lol, 5:02 cracked me up. "Wait, this is new. Should I jump it? Naw, I'll stop. Oh wait. Mom wants me to go over it." just barely steps over "On second thought, nope!" XD
Apollo is so majestic, and his movements are just beautiful! I love the way you talk to him so reassuringly... he really understands you! It is such a pleasure to see you both working together in such harmony!
That’s a lot of jumping for a Friesian horse. He wants to show off so eagerly even if he is breathing so heavily. What a great horse you have Tara! You both are very blessed to have each other! 💙🐴
Watching this more than 2 years later and enjoying it! Apollo is mesmerising. Your partnership with him is beautiful. Loved when he stopped to check out 'dad's' opinion..'how am I doing?'.
Tara, the bond between you and Apollo is amazing and even when he's being a bit of a wildie he moves with so much beauty. This was such a beautiful vid, thank you xx
Tara I Loved hearing apollo's daddy' giggle the Camara man very cute lol 💞😁 When he wanted to play... such a good boy he loves his mummy, he wants to please His daddy an mum so much" A joy to watch.. Thank you for sharing this video
Apollo is absolutely stunning! You can truly see the connection you all have! Thanks for sharing! Give Apollo a big hug from a Virginia, USA horse lover, please!
That was FUN TO Watch, this is a nice arena. And he tackled those jumps beatifully. That rain was making me shiver LOL. No rain here in California fora LONG Time. Apollo listens well to commands while he runs that course. Love to see more
Good workout for both of you 😄 For not jumping like that in quite a while, he did an excellent job. What an intelligent animal. And those poses he strikes--simply gorgeous.
Wow he’s stunning and was loving having a pop and for a fresian he was more than capable and was even over jumping, but then he was the perfect weight, muscular and was a great fitness level. It was so obvious that he was loving his job cos his ears were forward the whole time except when he was listening to you. He seems a very playful pony and it’s so good for them to play games in-between schooling, I think that must be why you have such a good bond xxx
Again 💘 love Apollo. He's a sweet gentleman. And he wants to do good so bad. I watched these backwards, with you riding him his legs matched up beautifully. I think it is harder without a rider to push and give him tempo. Bravo Tara. 🐎
Tara you were doing such a great job with my good boy Apollo. Apollo responds more to your voice than the trainer. Once he figured out what you wanted from him he soared. I laughed continuously, while he was playing his own game.
He is such a good learner and mostly so willing! You do such a good job with him! Xo PS Re-watching the video on TV instead of phone. Apollo seems to be united after his jumps. And once treats started coming he seems to jump more willingly. A great video, fun to watch. And what a team effort!!! Xo
I love hearing Rens chuckling with Pride. Very sweet. And 👑Apollo coming over and asking "did ya see me?" Haha, love this video. Tfs Tara + Rens 🐎 What a clever lad ❤👑❤
Oh how cool! Now you and Steve can run and Rens can ride! lol I was beyond thrilled watching this. I can only get mine to come back to me and or follow. Jumping, We may have to include that in our training! Good job, Tara. Oh, and to Apollo, too. How majestic he is. A pure joy to watch. Hugs
Oh, lovely to see this video of our majestic steed! He is truly magnificent and with each experience he becomes more confident and self assured!🙏🐎🐴👍👍👍♥️🇺🇸
OMG, I love Apollo, the first higher hurdle he tuck it looked like he just wanted to step over it and got stuck. It did not quite work. But after that he caught on and jumps happily now. He even followed you to the treats Tara. Apollo is so sweet. How lucky were you Tara to get Apollo. He is such a beautiful King of a Horse, and he clearly is attached to you. It’s happiness just to watch him !! 💖
Good workout for you both ! Apollo is amazing, to follow your instructions so well when he's not on his home turf. Like how he went over to Rens, " think l 'll stop here for a break !"
Not bad for a breed that can't jump apparently! You should have put the treat bucket just after the fence. 😁 Love the look he gave dad near the start. Looked like he was asking to be saved from mum who was gone a bit nutty 😂
@@miamason8024 I’ve heard “they can’t jump” about lots of breeds, especially Arabs, I just think it’s weird lol. It’s probably more a rider issue that gets perpetuated so much people end up thinking the breed is the issue. Some breeds probably shouldn’t be jumped, because of welfare/biomechanical issues that would cause, but in a lot of cases “it can’t jump because it’s a...” is unfounded.
Oh simply GORGEOUS that boy of yours!!! He is truly magnificent. Loved watching this. Thanks Tara. Apollo is just a dream horse. Such a kind manner. Love that he went to hubby during ‘get me out, get me out’ 😆 and I liked seeing him be a little bit naughty for a change. It’s usually Farouk in the naughty corner 🤣
I’ve just spent a lovely few days with my aunty in headingley. Had my first ever side saddle lesson at acrecliffe and the instructor said I did really well being my first time. I even got a “well done” rosette
Frisians have the most beautiful gait. I an in love with them… It takes a lot of trust from the horse to go free jumping. The won’t do it if they don’t want to.
I love him , I love him , I LOVE him ! He reminds me of my eldest son, Andy ! What a character What a bright boy and a scamp ! Lol ... looks like he's stopping at the snack shop for a popcorn in between jumps … :-D My heart goes out to beautiful Apollo . And his wonderful Mom and Dad.
The thing that people don’t understand is he’s this horse looked slightly confused at the start but the horse obviously has a special bond with everyone in the ring and knows it will be safe as she said in the description he hasn’t free jumped in around 2 years therefore will be a bit sticky but this horse is a very intelligent stallion and soon found his feet! I’m in love with Apollo and he’s such a gorgeous well mannered horse I admire the obvious hard work you have put into this horse who only has brilliant things to come in the future keep going!
What a great video! Watching him trot round you off line was fab. The build up of jumping was great, I like the first sigle rail? (not sure of the term) when he steps over and seems to say "er now what?" made me laugh. 🙂
you have two (or maybe more, just know about the arabian and the frisian) amazing looking horses - and very different in their looks, and probably in their character. You can see how much trust Apollo has in you, lovely to watch.
Haley Lahaie As Apollo is a fresian he naturally caries his head and neck quite high. Tara was doing a great job with him and he was fine. Horses can jump very high without riders and the height was no issue for him. He could have very easily been confused
Oh, he looks so upset and confused when he missed the first double jump. Bless his great big heart! But when he makes it, he looks pretty good. 💜 And then, "DAD did I do it right?" He worked so hard. 💜💜
