Honestly in my opinion it wasnt worth it. It took so long, that type of animation can be made in 1 year. Take "goku vs saitama" as an example, that dude did a 20 minutes long animation that is slightly better than the actual anime animation in a couple of months and it WAS worth it.

He might doing and animating the animation alone, no team or anything just himself, and he probably got school and other personal stuff
