i have the 20 cu ft unit. LOVED it.... (past tense) for all 9 months it ran. worked great when it worked. bought it june of 2021 it died feb 2022. repair man said that they were built with faulty compressors and Frigidaire knew it. they make a repair kit but frigidaire doesnt want you to know this. they want the warranty to run out first. Again, when it ran, it was great. IF you buy one. GET the extended warranty. MY experience. hopefully YOU dont have to deal with what im dealing with now. Dead freezer, loss of food. hassle of trying to force frigidaire to stand behind their product. repair men.... what a pain. Frigidaire USE to be a good brand. guess not so much anymore.
this freezer is a total POS do not buy it! should have been a recall. Defective design. the weak fan freezes up over and over again because the drainage system is flawed. needs a kit to fix problem that the manufacturer will not tell you about. mine has never been able to go below 5 degrees which is unacceptable! this video is proof of that! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6n8EaTaxxCM.html
Bought one beginning of May 2022, it was DEAD and all food defrosted on May 17. We be getting them to come pick it up and getting a Refund via Home Depot. Frigidaire said they do not give Refunds or Replacements and the girl said Frigidaire only Repairs them- no refunds or replacement..... No More Frigidaire Products will be bought by us ever again.
@@kchedville same here. sad really to see such high quality brands turn to sh!t by greed and laziness. we got ours repaired. and for the moment its running again. (knock on wood). problem is, is there any good brands left? Frigidaire did nothing but try to get out of any blame or responsibility.
Ours has stopped working 3 times while under warranty. The same problem. The drain freezes. The repair people said it was a design flaw. The first time the guy came in with the part in his hand. So many have the same problem, he knew what was wrong before he even looked at it. Our warranty is out, but, because our work order was put in before, they still have to do the repair. The first time we waited 2 weeks for a repair man to come. The second time we waited 3 weeks. The 3 time we waited 3 weeks. He didn’t even look at, he just listened to it. He said instead of just cutting part of the plastic away, he was just going to order new parts? I ask him if they had updated the part and he said no. I asked him if the part would be under warranty? He said, “nope”!!!!!!! ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏 P. S. By the way, we have been waiting for the part to come in for 5 weeks. Now we are waiting for the repair man to come back. That will be another 3 weeks. What should I do? Any ideas?
Hi just curious, according to the Frigidaire site, this FFUE2022AW is a newer model, been out less than a year. How long have you had it that the warranty is out, I thought it’s a 1 year warranty? Also are the repair people from Frigidaire, or Home Depot, or some other place? We’re trying to decide on which freezer to get. Thanks.
@@hbark We bought ours In October 2020. The warranty was for 1 year. Our #’s are an exact match. The person that comes out to repair it is an authorized technician. I told him that I feel like he’s family now. They don’t have enough authorized people is why we had to wait so long. He was a very nice guy, and he knew his stuff. He actually doesn’t live for from us. He can’t do anything except to keep cutting out more of the plastic on the part that is designed wrong. He even ordered a new one, and it was exactly the same. We still have the new one, he just made the hole larger on the one that he has been working on. The first guy that came was from a different company. He had told us the same thing. We went with another company the second time because they could come a few days sooner. Hope this helps. 🙏❤️🙏🤍🙏❤️🙏🤍🙏❤️🙏🤍🙏❤️
Ty for the video, We left our freezer door open overnight. After shutting the door, 10 mins later, it is starting to make a hitting noise. It sounds like a small fan is hitting some other small thing. How do u we fix it? Ty
I accidentally left the frigidaire freezer open overnight. I heard thus loud noise maybe the fan. It usually shuts without me putting much pressure. Since I bought it last October. So I closed it about an hour ago. When I open it the humming sound starts back up. Should I just buy another one? Thanks
Hello! is there a fan blow air to cool the condenser coil? does it use the same technology as their chest freezer which has an oil cooling condenser? my basement is quite warm and we want use a freezer that does not blow warm air. thanks for your time!
Stay away from this freezer. Company discontinued it due to fan freezing even after the kit. Lost almost $5k of a whole cow. Broke twice looking for a new one that is actually reliable
I have this same freezer. Less than 2 yr old and has stopped cooling now for the 3 rd time. I have the extended warranty also. Service is very slow and the repair always is made to a frozen fan issue. Please don’t waste your money on this junk. I’m buying a whirlpool tomorrow and having this crap hauled off. Wasted a $1000 on this freezer and another $1000 of food lost.
It could be this, I keep mind on the recommended temp "High Temp Alert If the temperature increases above freezing your food, the LED light at the bottom of the cabinet will flash... The LED will continue to flash until the cabinet temperature is below 23°F (-5°C)."
If your temperature rises because you had the door open to long, the green light will flash. Some times, when the temperature drops back down, the light keeps blinking. If this happens, take a magnet and run it across the under end of the door. This will reset the green blinking light. You need to keep an eye on it for a while. Sometimes it will start blinking again and that means that you probably have a different problem. GOOD LUCK! 🙏❤️🙏🤍🙏❤️🙏🤍🙏❤️🙏🤍🙏❤️
I have this exact freezer it never goes below 5 degrees since day one. Should be a recall. Who the hell would put the fan at the bottom of the long gray vertical air vent on the back wall of the freezer where all the condensation would leak down to where the fan is and eventually freeze up. Its like they designed it with the intentions for the fan to freeze up every couple of months LOL! What a bunch of dummies!
There are a few that I've found. The green light isn't lined up to the magnet so the fan won't work unless you buy the kit to fix it. Another problem is that the fan freezes and you have to buy a kit to fix that.
