I remember seeing this for the first time time back when it first came out having no idea what Touhou was, so seeing it again now after being a Touhou fan for Almost 3 years makes this a very different experience.

I remember in 2018 i didn't knew about touhou, and was curious why Chara losed. And now i found this masterpiece again, and now i know about touhou enough to understand everything in this video

Three years later, Undertale fans still can't admit Frisk's loss. I love Undertale, but this fandom amazes me.

I like how frisk's head is bigger than their body

I remember there being a lot of drama over this fight. And honestly it makes sense, the powers of Undertale and Touhou characters both are rather vague most of the time! Chara, for example, can pretty much *nuke reality itself* by the end of the genocide run. To put it into perspective, compare this to *The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception* from Kinoko Nasu's works. To those that don't know, those possessing these mystic eyes can also kill concepts/apply a death state to certain things. They see lines and points of death, the former representing end of life, the latter representing end of existence. Spoiler, Shiki Tohno kills the existence of a corridor during one of the routes, it completely collapses the moment Shiki stabs it's point of death. Chara here, can do essentially a similar thing, they're so powerful at the end of the genocide route they can literally slash the world and it's timelines into non existence, a feat *even greater* than that of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. But not as specialized, it likely wouldn't kill someone like Mokou without needing to destroy the entire world with it. Sakuya, on the other hand, has *ZA WARUDO-* ahem Manipulation of Time, and due to Time and Space being connected, she can control both, but her primary focus is time. It's why the Scarlet Devil Mansion is so huge on the inside, Sakuya made it a TARDIS. Of course, Sakuya can very much stop time for prolonged durations. Though as you can see she is stressed by overusing her ability. That said, I have no idea where all those "omnipotent Chara" and "dimensional warper Sakuya" comments come from. The former would be more accurately our favorite goat boi Asriel in his God of Hyperdeath form, and the latter seems to be Yukari Yakumo, with her ability to manipulate conceptual borders. TL;DR both were kinda overblown in the comments. As for what I think of the matchup? Frisk and Chara are surprisingly a good match to Sakuya. If they fail, they technically get unlimited lives, due to being able to RESET, only ever giving up if deciding the matchup is impossible. Sakuya has a MASSIVE combat advantage, but a max level Chara would be able to make quick work of her, they're a killer after all. Both fighters have powerful abilities, too much to properly calculate as factors, it's up to skill... As someone who performed genocide of all monsters, LV 20 Chara would have combat experience in *spades.* Having pretty much hunted down any beast that exists in the Underground. They know how to kill many things, and could easily apply that to humans too, even if they're not getting the "killing intent attack amplifier" the Monsters are oh so weak to. ... As the servant of the Scarlet Devil, Sakuya must have fought off dangerous rivals to Remilia Scarlet in the past. Plus, fighting off the incident masterminds in Gensokyo! She also has experience in spades. Both can win in my opinion. That said... How the heck did Sakuya access Frisk's menu?!

Chara/Frisk even got incredibly lucky they appeared in the SDM. Imagine if they spawned in the the garden of the sun or the lunar capital ☠️☠️☠️

Even as a huge under-tale fan who has very little knowledge on touhou, I know enough about Sayuka that she could easily destroy Chara. The ability to stop time, throw several knifes, flip them and constantly manipulate them is an easy win for her

Homie, I was just stooping by to rewatch this again. Feels like it was even better than I remember and I remember finding this during that whole "Great Undertale Vs Touhou War" time period. Still love how you did Best Girl (Sakuya) justice. The video is always amusing to watch and makes me laugh. Heck, I never even noticed the short video that had Remi in it, very cool. I know Animating is quite time consuming, but would love to see you do some more Touhou videos, really like you style. either way, good work! Can't wait to see what you do in the future!

To the Undertale fans who complain about Touhou: you DO realize that Undertale's creator Toby Fox is a big Touhou fan? You wouldn't even have Undertale without the existence of Touhou in the first place. The entire fantastical creatures cut off from the outside world by a magical barrier thing? Touhou did it first! Industrialization of the underground where a group of ostracized creatures live? Touhou 11: Subterranean Animism. There's also Tsunderplane, some of the music is very Touhou-esque (Spear of Justice), and the entire final battle is full of Marisa-style rainbow stars and lasers. Seriously, look up Imperishable Night Stage 4B and compare. Touhou is a huge fandom that was around for ages before Undertale even existed. It has a ridiculous number of doujin circles dedicated to remixes (there's a compilation that's bigger than a terabyte), not to mention the quality of other fanmade art/videos/games is over the roof. So can you please just stop treating Touhou like some "weird vague anime thing" that's supposedly threatening your beloved Undertale and just calm down?

The sheer amount of touhoes (as I insist to call them) that can just kill you instantly or end the world in a single move makes all comparisons in power between these two games extremely one sided. Yuyuko controls the border between life and death which means that she can just instantly unalive you. Yukari controls all gaps including those that are on a molecular level which allows her to straight up evaporate you, she can also control gaps between universes so she can just bring some sort of lovecraftian horror into the battle and win. Reimu can become intangible so you literally can't hurt her. Mokou and Kaguya can't die *PERIOD* Youmu can move faster than the speed of light and her sword can cut almost anything. Cirno is the strongest character in anything ever. Mimi Chan is a literal intercontinental ballistic missile. And Sumireko has a 3D printed gun. The reason we don't see them use these powers is because they all came to an agreement to hold back while fighting so that they wouldn't get carried away and accidentally end the whole world. Meanwhile Chara can respawn... Imagine if there were checkpoints in touhou, it would be infinitely easier!

For years I have been coming back to this video to see if any new salty UT fans are gonna comment anything and I have been wondering, how long is this gonna keep on going? I'm already an adult now. Will I eventually just lose my curiosity and no longer care about what these people think? Or am I just too petty to let all of this go and continue to reply back to even the next generations of UT fans (Assuming our fandoms will still exist) until the day my body starts to deteriorate from old age? I really do want to let go of this habit, I really do... but every time I do this, I know I will get my day ruined seeing people say dumb stuff but yet I still come back here to see their comments, it's so trivial but I am too curious and dislike people being wrong (especially people who overrate their verses powers). I get caught up in defending my views or correcting others (On other videos and shorts) that it can start to feel like a never ending cycle. It's been so long that those who frequently came here to defend Touhou even feels like a friend...? Am I starting to lose my sanity over this? Am I okay? What's are your experience about these kind of stuff though? Do you guys share the same thoughts? I'm not used to writing stuff like this so I might be using wrong sentences or words.
