Fascinating. Thre really is something humbling and awe insprirng about ancient trees. And local history too. I`ve had enough time to inspect local maps, found some wonderful evocotive name places.

Very interesting. So that's what an Ice House looks like. I've seen them referenced in books, but have never seen one before. I always had the idea that they were like an insulated barn or some such. Now I know different ! Huge corporations not giving a toss if they damage things ( or just lying about it ) ? Surely not.... Hmm... That small plateau thing does look interesting. I wonder what - if anything - it was used for.Possibly just as a flat loading area for the gravel maybe.
