Thomas Callen It's just what the separate services have bought, in Sydney FRNSW is primarily permanent fire fighters so they use more expensive and somewhat better equipped Scania Type 3 pumpers, where as RFS are all volunteers except for office staff so they use Isuzu Tankers, as they cost less and aren't used as much as FRNSW Pumpers. FRNSW also runs Retained Stations outside Sydney who use Isuzu Type 2 pumpers.
