Thanks for showing off the kit and your build of it.....looks great. Got a few of these along with other Frog kits that I bought starting back in '74 when I started building models. And that's the thing about these early Frog/Airfix kits....you can build 'em out of the box and they look good or go to town on them. I prefer to scratch build parts instead of buying pe & resin for these an and other kits simply because it increases my modeling skill.....and yes, still learning. Was stationed at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska from 77 to 79 and while walking down more than one dirt road on base, came across what I thought was a V-1 on a pylon! Actually, it was a post war U.S. copy of it called the JB-2 Loon, but even so.....
Old, bald fat man Hi thanks for commenting. I'm glad you liked it, and the same to I'm still learning and improving with my models. Thanks for sharing the story at the end very interesting about the copy of the V1.
@@JamessModellingChannel1992 Yep I was building this one in the 1970s. What I don't like is the panel lining on new kits. Way too deep. Easier to add the excellent after market parts out there now, to an old classic like this.
Hi I built this kit earlier this year and noticed a problem with the guns as they are moulded with the long cannons making up the outer pair instead of the other way round so I switched them round during the build ending up by having to scratch build them. but nice kit you have there mate.
