Hey Tyler great video as always. I just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve taught. Last year was my first high school fishing tournament and got skunked but this year I went to the state fishing tournament and got sixth
If your pond has really thick mats on top a weightless creature bait slowly worked like a frog can really fire them up. Especially in pressured waterways
Hey, Tyler. I very possibly may just be doing it wrong, but I NEVER get bit on frogs. What could I be doing incorrectly? I know the frogs and rod combo are good, so it HAS to be me. Any thoughts, because I would LOVE to be able to enjoy frog fishing, but I usually use a punch rig or a jig due to this and catch them on those much more frequently.
Idk if it’s weird but you should do a “fish with Tyler” giveaway/fundraiser. Not saying you need the funds but, just an interesting idea. Plus i know i live close it would just be cool seeing first hand your thought process for local ponds and tips and tricks for improvement. Always enjoy the videos and knowledge
Ur rod suggestions are both medium heavy. On prior videos u suggested heavy, is there a reason why? Is medium/heavy ok for frogging? I see others always suggesting heavy. . How about action, fast, fast moderate, medium? Thanks Tyler great videos
I still suggest H for frogging. We just don’t sell a combo that’s a 7’4” H like I would like. I’ve got a video coming out soon though, explaining why a 7’3” MH is good enough 👍🏼
Tyler! Loving the videos and content! Have you ever been to Town Lake in Cypress/NW Houston? Would also love for you to check out the Tackle Shack, a new local bait shop dedicated to bass fishing. take care!
@@TylersReelFishing yes! during the spawn last month, it yielded 4+ pounders.... you need to be a resident in the community to fish there, but I can introduce you to the right guys.
I have not, but definitely want to fish some ponds up there! If you have any that are good, send me an email and I might travel up! TylersReelFishing@gmail.com
@@TylersReelFishingI figured you probably hadn’t, when compared to Texas it’s not exactly a bass fishing destination, but so many people overlook great bass fishing in favor of our outstanding salmon and steelhead fishing but there is great bass fishing to be done if you are looking for it. If I get a list of places together I’ll send you an email. A PNW video would be awesome in the future if you ever made the trip up!
Man I miss fishing. I haven't done any of my hobbies in years but I'm starting to feel like it again. And it was always a pond for me. But you're one of the few fishermen who will actually explain tips and tricks - most of the good fishermen I've known act coy or whatever and just say things like, "You have to hold your mouth just right" lol... It's definitely a shot of adrenaline and dopamine to feel that bite and see your fishing pole bend from the weight of a 5-6 pound bass on the line..
Can you make a video on when and where to use each type of bait. For example “ this is the spinner bait. You want to use it when it’s windy in clear water around shallow cover.” Thanks my brother in Christ.
When you caught that first one i just picture the meme of the dude getting thrown up and slammed into the celling when i hear awash ik you gave him the business
