100% tarrif is about as dumb a thing as you can say. The millions of car dealerships owned by Americans that sell foreign cars would go out of business. And retaliation tarrifs placed on American trucks would crush the auto industry. People need to be smarter than falling for Trump's nonsense. Meanwhile he's selling $1 China made sneakers for $400.

It wasn't taken out of context lol? They left the bit in where he talked about the downfall of the car industry. But its also exactly the point of that Kurt Braddock guy, that language matters. And the term bloodbath fits into that kind of archaic, violent language that has negative effects. And why even use that word for something related to the economy ? Makes no sense to me.

Y'all are really reaching with this one. it's very commonly used and really doesn't have the implications you claim that it does. It's like saying that using the word "violent" to describe a stock crash is inflammatory because violence is bad.

Not true. I am a Canadian who currently lives in Singapore and in my 50+ years of life there have been few if any politicians who talk like Trump.

You can't make that claim if you aren't paying attention to other politicians and what they're saying. Not knowing about Trudeau's divisive rhetoric, not knowing its consistency and frequency, means you're out of touch with Canadian politics. Not knowing other American politicians are using the same name-calling and divisive rhetoric as Trump just as often as Trump shows you're out of touch with American politics. Trump is just in the news more often. Listen to politicians that openly support BLM, pro-Palestine protests, defund the police, and so on. Listen to how the politicians in New York and California talk.
