Daniel Hagari, the spokesperson for the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) appeared to contradict the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu-led Israeli government’s stated aim of the months-long war in the besieged territory of Gaza - the “defeat” of Hamas. He said, “Hamas is an idea… Whoever thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong.”
The statement came even as Netanyahu remains defiant on “eliminating” Hamas irrespective of a ceasefire deal.
The confusing narrative from within the Israeli establishment raises the question: What has Israel achieved after months of war? How close or far is it to achieving its top goal? And, most importantly, Can Tel Aviv defeat Hamas?

This was perhaps the BEST episode of CRUX that I have ever seen. Congrats! One point did seem to get missed however. Is "Occupation" a crime comparable to holding slaves? That is, occupied people are deprived of their freedom for someone else's benefit. They are confined and killed at will. If slavery and being "occupied" are comparable . Ask the question in these terms : "What right to fight for freedom does a slave have? Isn't it true that a slave fighting for freedom CANNOT commit a crime against the owner (or occupier) ... any horrible action is just part of fighting for one's freedom. CRUX in this episode seemed hard to try to equate Netanyahu's Israel and Hamas , this is not fair to Hamas.
