The notes displayed on our western pianos are not all Notes existing in music. In arab music there are microtonal notes frets on instruments like the saz or also in blues music the bent ones

If you skip straight to 1:13, it sounds like straight noise. But if you listen to it in sequence, your brain somehow makes sense of it harmonically. Maybe that's why genres like Death/Black Metal sound impenetrable to begin with, then over time you can pick out melodies and song structure.
