I went through similar stage. Became an agnostic-theist in late teenages. Believed in God but not in any religion. I used to feel something is missing within me and would pray to God to ease this tension. After a 3 year struggle and a search for truth, I finally came back to ISLAM. May Allah forgive me. I was a young misguided soul... May Allah save us from satan's evil whispers. Ameen!

I went through a very similar journey to yours and have taken a path similar to the one that you are embarking on. May Allah make it easy for you, Ameen. This path isn’t always easy and it takes serious discipline, as I am sure you already know. There will be hurdles, there will be enticement, there will be people either overpraising you or saying you are not good enough, but the most painful will be spotlight-seeking people of knowledge who will come rushing out of the woodwork to “support” you. The company you keep can make or break you. Stepping back and exploring your own faith, being honest about your struggles, and always being aware of where you were and how Allah has helped you in answering your prayers is what will keep you grounded. And, gaining genuine knowledge, self-studying, and finding true sources from the Qur’an and Ahadith for even the smallest of claims will always keep you moving forward with strength and certainty, Insha’Allah. In my journey, I realized that it was very difficult to find genuine sources of knowledge. I also wanted to do something for Allah and dedicate my time to Him. Like you said, this is a message that has to be shared, so I had to find my calling. I began a project years ago to compile all this knowledge into one source. The culmination of which is a website called “ www.TheChoice.one", which reaches thousands of people everyday, Alhamdulillah. The only difference was instead of becoming an atheist, I decided to study Islam myself &, as unbelievable as it may sound, I became an even better Muslim (Alhamdulillah). Next, I needed to verify what I had learned so (even though it was naive but) I had debates with Christians & Atheists. Despite my fear of being proven wrong, Allah Showed me ways to address their most logical arguments to the dot in the manner that still surprise me to this day thus increasing my faith even more. At that time, I feared being proven wrong while today when I come across a new argument against Islam, I begin to enjoy the process of defending Islamic teaching & the voice from inside comes "BRING IT ON...LET'S SEE WHAT YOU GOT". I also used to do but Alhamdulillah I always felt ashamed of my sin and repented from Allah. I've always been a boy having fear of death and trust in Allah. I also pray five times a day. But from previous month, I don't know why I am getting into doubts about Islam. I listen to many Dawa people on RU-vid and I feel relax for a period and then again these evil thoughts come into my mind. I don't know what is Allah's plan behind it. I think that I'm losing control over myself and my thinking. You said that you've been from this age and this period of time. Please give me some advices and pray for me. JazakAllah!

Being an Ex-Atheist I can understand your struggle of finding the creator and purpose of life. Although I was born into a so called "Muslim" family but i would say that after the struggle of decade I only became Muslim in around 2013. I remember that like you I was very zealous with "I know" and "Molvis don't know" kind of approach. I also used to give Fatawa i.e. this is halaal and this is haraam with the interpretation that suits me and my understanding (like you made picture and apostasy punishment to be haraam by your own- Audubillah) Long story cut down short: I left home in search of true interpretation of Islaam. (Barelvi, Deobandis, Hayati, Mamati, Murji'ah, Khawarij, Ash'ari, Ath'ari, Muqallid, Ghair Muqallid, Quranist, Mu'tazilah, Pervazis, Jammatis / Maududis, Jammat ul Muslimeen and any other you name / imagine). After years of research and reading hundreds of books and listening thousands of lectures, the conclusion is that: In every hukm of Islaam the Hujjah is Qur'an and Sunnah upon the understanding of Sahaabah and Salaf. Because Quran was revealed upon them and about them (Sahaabah). Therefore, their interpretation is the only true interpretation and the interpretation of the saved sect. This is the Manhaj of Salaf. There is no doubt that according to the interpretation of Salaf (Sahaabah, Tabien, Taba Tabien) the punishment of apostates is death. After the death of Prophet (saws) many tribes turned apostates. Abu Bakr (ra) waged war upon apostates, killed their men, taken their wifes and children as captives of Kuffar and looted their money as war booty). Brother Hamza, from my own experience, i request you to first learn in depth knowledge of Islaam (Aqeedah, Usool, Furu, Fiqh, Usool of Fiqh, Science of Jarh wa Tadeel) or atleast basics of aqeedah so that instead becoming source of guidance you don't become source of misguidence. Every Athiest turn into Thiest does not equal to preacher / scholar of Islaam.

Many Pakistanis kids and teens living in the west are facing the same dilemma because their Pakistani parents are trying to force them to be good muslims but kids have logical questions and neither the parents nor the molvis have answers. It would be extremely beneficial if you talk about it in detail and in English on your channel. How you went from a regular muslim to atheist to a devoted muslim. What did you read or observe that brought you to the conclusion that God exists.
