I like that Ayato feels complete even without constellations, unlike other characters who have unnecessary drawbacks that can only be fixed with constellations :-
Its kinda like Eula, she's already complete without cons but she becomes different with cons. Balanced so f2p can enjoy him while being able to reward the whales.
That's a good character design ... He doesn't need constellations to work but when he gets them he clearly gets better ... And even then his constellations are mainly aimed to main DPS ayato gamers
I like Ayato so much, He's a Normal Attacker meaning stamina is not a problem. He has good passive so ER is not a problem too. Above all, he's main damage is his skill meaning you don't have to wait for your energy to be charged most importantly the COOLDOWN. Short CD on his skill meaning you can almost spam your skill and my God his ult last for so long.
I still can't wrap around how his ult seem to never leave the battlefield. The cd is like only 2 seconds and if you pair him with another hydro character, that ult easily go back up on cool down
@@tonykowalski4189 me too omg it's like always running lmao. And paired with Ganyu, omg this is the first time I'm not using Zhongli in a team. No need a shield when you can freeze the enemies almost all the time.
Probably one of the most satisfying and fun character to play! I definitely had no regrets using my pity on him :’) Even better cause he voices Athrun 😭!!

This is good, in my opinion. Constellations should be there to improve on a character's playstyle, not compensate for it! A perfect example is Diluc's and Xiangling's, their constellations improve their kit instead of making up for any weaknesses they have in it.
I’ve never wanted so badly any Constellations for my characters than I want for him. Sadly I’m F2P but I’m quite happy with Ayato C0 he can really do some damage
@@Ostrid1 It will take years literally. Also a lot of other good and interesting characters gonna come out ( as they release 1-2 new characters every month ). This is just something imposible for f2p, literally. Not talking about signature weapon.
@@ozbezarius922 depends, ayato was a must pull for me (and Im glad I got him, hes making stuff easier for me) but I have no interest in 90% of the characters, I have my set and if I can get 2 teams off it, then thats even better. Only ones missing for me are kazuha and raiden now, unless there will be a 5 star character absolutely flashing me Im not interested to pull and rather go for constellations of characters I already have
Ayato is probably the first character that I'm considering getting his constellations lmaooo I usually just get C0 for new 5 star characters and call it a day, but man do I really want that 6 constellations
@Robin Sailo it will work like a skill modifier... So if his skill is 60% of ATK, theoretically, and C1 is 40% of ATK, theoretically, then his total skill scaling is 100% of ATK. I'd like to treat it as skill modifier because diminishing return also affects it. It is different from Yun Jin's flat damage contribution because it is not affected by diminishing return. Also, if C1 is already a skill modifier, then the new artifact will not be really good for him since he will have very large skill skill multiplier which will result to more diminishing return.
I'm so glad they realized their mistakes with Yae Miko and made Ayato have almost no end lag on his moves. They tried too hard to make Yae Miko have stylish animations, which ended up making her skill a pain to use (the fact that she's not invincible at all during the movement doesn't help either). Ayato's skill flows extremely well with dashes in between. You can do a slash, *immediately* dash away, and *immediately* do another slash. It actually feels like you're playing a powerful anime main character that just unlocked some secret OP ancient power and the enemies can't even hope to catch up with him.

A male samurai character that have elements skill like childe, plus he deal dmg, he look awesome, he really fun to play!! All i need Now is 5 star weapon, so unless mihoyo release another samurai character that can make Pyro/hydro katana, i'm Satisfied with ayato I'm getting so much pros for my enjoyment and happiness right now!!
@@itsuko3205 if you fail to nab his Katana, I'd recommend you save up for Jade Cutter, if it wasn't an extremely old weapon, I'd think it tailor made for Ayato
Ayato's C1 extra 40% dmg works like a hydro cup. That's why you dont see much of a dmg increase. A normal ayato already has at least a 100+46.6+35+20=201.1% dmg, hence why his C1 ends up increasing his overall dmg by just 20%
I'm just happy to see and hear in general that he's pretty good, decently flexible, and not as useless as Yae (apparently even worse now after her "fix).
@@lookatthiscutekittyc2903 How's it useless? If I put the turrets around a boss, why would I want the turrets to target a minor mob that's far away? And why would target certainty be worse than randomized targeting? And how is C2 useless since C2 also increases the damage of her turrets? The increased targeting range provided by C2 also helps to continue hitting mobs even after the close mobs are killed. I don't see how this change makes her C2 useless.
Ayato does make a ton of fun. I have went on him to C3 and got the R1 that I need to build yet. Definitely somebody I want to play for a long time to come especially with freeze I want to go in more.
Now if only they put as much thought into yae miko like they did ayato. Release her with no artifact set, clunky kit and energy recharge issues solved with c1 while also locking away her damage potential all the way until c6. Already seen yelan leaks and she will have a 70 cost burst with the same energy issue constellation answer for her c1. Edit: Just saw ayato's kit and he also regenerates energy while off the field. Mihoyo choosing favourites with elements once again.
I don't understand why they treat Electro like this. Even if they make electro not very good with elemental reactions, they should at least make it so that they do big raw damage and have an easy of use/utility. I was actually afraid Ayato might come out like Yae Miko, but it's weird how Ayato came out completely fine.
Dude saw the new yelan leaks?!?!! She a xingqiu powercreep, she still has less energy cost than xingqiu. But BRUH she has so much potential, she can even get buffs.
@@reelan1036 I think it’s also the fact hyv treats catalyst just generally worse then any other weapon, meaning not only did yae get both the worse element, but also the worse weapon type meaning she def got the short end of the stick. Having only beaten Lisa in better usage.
Yae was initially supposed to come out alongside Raiden, hence why they released EOSF and Shimenawa's domain, notice how Shimenawa fits the aesthetic of the shrine maidens? The delay and changes probably made Yae a bit different than what she was supposed to be at first, or at least that's what I believe in going by logic, or mihoyo just hates electro that bad, makes me glad I invested in GEO before it became meta.

he has the raiden burst as his E and ganyu burst as his Q, he might be not doing the most damage compared to two of those but he has the potential i just got him yesterday!!
yes, he rlly have potential and we dont even have a pyro support that can apply pyro so fast just like a pyro version xingqiu and we dont have a dedicated support to normal atk speed characters. so i think in the future, ayato will be broken just like any other dps but right now he is really a balanced and fun character to use.
At first i want ayato for second team in spiral abyss but i think i change my mind because i forgot i had c1 itto. So I'll take venti😄...sad to skip him because i really like sword user but i also like venti...for gliding of course...😬
To be honest there were a lot of things that could go wrong wiht Ayato`s gameplay, like maybe he pushing back enemies, or not dealing aoe hydro dmg with his E.... I am pleasantly surprised that he works well with Kaeya and Venti, his e is spammeable , doesn't feel like he has huge problems with ER, and is so satisfying to play with him, I really like characters taht doesn`t rely on their brust to do dmg thats why for me he is so comfortable to play on the open world... anyways its was a great surprise, tho of course he has some weak points like every other character on the game. Ayato is great and feels somplete at c0 i like him a lot plus he is beauty 😊😊🙌🙌
I was pulling for Yun Jin on this banner. I was fine getting Ayato even though I have Childe, but didn't really want him. So of course I pulled 2 in back to back singles
His gameplay is fantastic even at c0. With a wide spread damage from his skill and a decent burst. Ayato is an amazing DP. For those who haven't pull for him yet, I highly recommend him to add to your roaster.
Fun fact? If you like aesthetic to the point of noticing that his C2 changes the namisen stacks effect, his C6, if you just use his skill but didn't hit any enemies, also gives him glowing hand that actually ended up sticking around even after your skill expires, probably forever until you use his C6's clones attack (dunno why...I mean, we still need to press skill again to reactive his C6 anyway, so wouldn't really make a difference, but well, glowing hand is cool anyway, so...) Just some small aesthetic I noticed... ._."
What happened to ayato is just a repeat of what happened on ninguang... Basically they just are generally better with or without their cons,but when you get those constellations you will just see big numbers....
@@azzzzka2757 Don't worry, if it comforts you I have a lot of friends who are in late game but also can't do that. I suggest you watch some gameplay videos and optimize your team with one dps + supports. You'll get there. Don't sweat it, Genshin is not PVP.

i had around 44k primogems saved for him, i wanted his weapon and i wanted him c2 and i actually got that!! i got his weapon when i hit pity on weapon banner. and i only lost 50/50 once while wishing for him! no regrets i love him!!
I dont have any regrets pulling ayato. He allowed me to clear abyss back when abyss was being scaled for whales. Even though i dont really use him in abyss anymore i still always have fun when i pull him out and i pulled his weapon this time around just because its pretty.
Skipped his 5* weapon and went for Ayato's c2 when he first came out (I'm using him with jade cutter) hopefully I'll get him to c3 once he gets a rerun!

@@animestream1013 C6 Raiden isn’t any much stronger than her C3 version that’s why I just stuck with it lmao Ayato has no nuking potential like the Raiden I usually use but the fact that Ayato can do comparable damage overtime with his E alone, no hassle on charging up 60 resolve or needing crazy er, is actually broken 💀
@Ben Dover I did, C6 Ayato borderline broken when he’s doing C3 Raiden damage without an ult. My guy’s dps window feels so much nicer and gets it right back so much faster that was hella worth it
C6 ayato is just very broken, you don’t even need ER just wait it out while rotating the team. All those enemy drain energy will be kinda not a problem now for Ayato
Genshin is my first gacha game and as someone who's a bit of a completionist it just hurts so much to never be able to get the full potential of cool characters like Ayato. I'm forever stuck in C0 hell and it sucks.
he feels fine at c0, but MANNNN looking at those big juicy numbers is kinda insane. avg 7k-10k slashes to 30-40k... i know this is the nature of c0 vs c6 but i would've preferred just a smidge stronger multipliers/longer skill duration. in comparison i feel like ayaka just deletes enemies, so i would've liked to see an insane broken hydro dps but i already knew it wasnt going to happen. I wish some of this dmg wasn’t locked behind constellations but maybe one day when I’m all settled down and have plenty of characters and team comps, I’ll be able to pull a few constellations for Ayato
I think they won't ever make that ayaka/ganyu level broken of hydro character. It's because this element can easily powercreep since it has access to many elemental reactions.
I know you probably just build him or he was build like normal damage dealer, but could you make a showcase where you build him like Hu Tao with 30.000+ HP? I‘m really curious how this would change his damage output. 🤩☺️☺️
Hell yeah! I'm determined to C6 my Ayato! I really wanted to get him after playing his Story Quest. I'm in awe of his skill, reminds me of Hiei & Goemon! I pulled him last Nov 28, sadly I didn't get the Haran, but I'm glad nonetheless. Thank you for making this vid. Looking forward for his banner again this year! 💧🗡️🧋
Ayato turned out really well imo. Fun, balanced, and only unnecessarily broken if you Whale for C6. To me that's how most characters should be. Like maybe C1 but it shouldn't feel necessary to go beyond that for them to be viable.
This video helped me a lot understanding better his kit, i got really lucky the day of his release cuz i got him c1, so imma srsrt farming for better artifacts for him
now i wonder where was this effort when they make Miko harder to use compare to other, god sometimes I don't even know if Genshin's devs idea of balance. even sometimes I feel like they're as much of idiots as DW is in FGO's early couple of year
They can't directly nerf the character itself since it's against the law. Now for the enemies, hydro is hard to nerf because of their functionality for reactions.
You might want to add a disclaimer that his c2 is misworded and doesnt work they way it says. You get a 50% increase from the base hp instead of the max hp. I was about to top up until I came across a youtuber pointing this out. Saved me some money from being cheated.
A double crowned C6 Ayato will have around 35% damage increase with C6. Yes it is still good but I wish it was a bit better. They could have made it like Kokomi that every 3rd NA sequence is an additional damage. The one time 900% of ATK damage is kinda overshadowed by a C6-Yun Jin and C6 Ayato combo provided that it isn't even affected by the Namisen effect... Though i'm still not certain if the extra two Shunsuiken is affected by Yun Jin's buff...
Honestly I put ayato with albedo which can be a problem if you use elemental skill of ayato and you somehow elevate with albedo elemental skill, ayato can't plunge while using ayato elemental skill
What is the diference between Childe c6 and Ayato c6, cause i somehow as a bp and moonkling only managed to c6 my childe whit his weapon by havong a lot of luck and not pulling on anyhting , and now i want to compare
Sorry, but Childe's constellations are garbage honestly. His c1 becomes useless with c6, his c2 isn't even worth mentioning. C4 can sometimes be pain in the ass, for example when you want to lend a nuke. C6 is a cool QoL improvement, but in terms of necessity it's not the greatest thing ever. On the other hand every Ayato's constellation improves his damage, which is super effective if you will consider how little his downtime is.
