From Basics to Brilliance: Creative Exploration with Metal Leaf 

Exploring the possibilities of layering metal leaf in mixed media art.
This canvas had Rose gold metal leaf on it that had paint and medium on top of it in places. It didn’t have the sheen or iridescence that I wanted it to have. My original thought was just add some more of the rose gold metal leaf on top and then I decided to go a little deeper and explore layering the metal leaf in different ways, layering with different colours, and then exploring the different ways I could affect the finish of it on the canvas.
