Your production quality just keeps getting better, it has always been great. But after each episode, I think how can it get better than that, and there you go and do it even better. Congratulations on a film experience and story well done.
the joy in this young ladys life is a pleasure to behold truly a ray of sunshine in this crazy world , thank you both for sharing with us . Fairwinds young lady
Just love you weekly episodes. My wife and I had a 32foot sail boat for many years and sailed to the Bahamas from Canada(Ontario). We then travelled in a motorhome which is very similar to cruising, people and places. This episode of cycling, made me feel like I was cycling along with you. Beautiful. Thank you, I look forward to your next episode.
My wife and I burst out laughing when we watched that, mainly because it was such a delight to us when the beach at Burleigh Heads did that for us, on my wife's first morning in Australia.
What a lovely episode! I follow twenty sailing related channels, well known and not so well-known. Of them all yours is the one that combines aesthetic and adventure in a most seductive way. You really are artists. (And sailors, and expert tradespersons, musicians, jewellery makers, adventurisers (see what I did there?) and all round nice people!)
I fully agree with you. This is one of the best. It is a creative and realistic production. It is a lot of what I should have done or will do in the future.
Maya, you keep surprising me. Whether you are making clothes, riding around on a bicycle through fields and dunes, enjoying a swim on Dutch beaches or explaining the workings of our dunes (excellently done by the way, you taught this Dutchie something about those layers!); you seem to do them all with the enthousiasm of a little girl, yet you always talk about them with a calm soothing voice. Excellent videowork by Aladino btw, you seem to have really enjoyed yourself with the drone this week! :)
My husband Ron and I have truly enjoyed your stories and adventures. We are in the state of Washington USA and I love seeing the moon at different angles from the places you share with us all. Happy Voyages, may the wind be in your favor :)
Thank you! Always such stunning camera work. And your editing, narrative and music always easily surpass all! The post closed brewery shots made my eyes dance and my heart sing!
SO look forward to Friday’s, to pour a glass of wine and watch what you all post! So beautiful and enjoyable! Thank you all so much from someone who lives in mid continent North America...you all free me for a few minutes! ❤️💕💜🙏🏻
“Isn’t it beautiful? Isn’t it like you? “. Such Romance !!!!! And Maya’s discoveries of cells and nature are so calming and meditative. Just like I was in my twenties !!!!
Speaking about artists, the Dutch do have great musicians too, I and probably a vast majority of your subscribers would love to hear another great jam session!
What an exquisite capture of some sweet time on Texel. Your videos just get better and better! I'm really enjoying the "homeland" through your eyes. Hello from Salt Spring Island!
I love your jeans I think you look great. What a beautiful place it makes me want to go there. You are spot on about the salt water there’s nothing like it. The cuttlefish are good for pet birds they sharpen their beaks on it and shells are naturally beautiful. You loved the sound they make like bells, you are a true musician all sound is music.
Wow...your channel really has grow into one of the post lovely f all the sailing couples! Very impressed with the simple poetry the two of you are able to dish out on any everyday situation! Right up there at the top with RAN, DELOS & UMA..ohh and SOULIANIS also! Perhaps one day, Aladino and you will have to take up a new magic boat refit! The Netherlands is definitely your best season yet Cheers
one thing I love about your videos, is this thing about: our journey started when this boat fell off a crane. This is such a random thing, you know, what if the boat had never crashed? gives us a dimension of the absurd.
Nice helpful lessons learned from this episode Maya: Aladino needs to loose his old trucker hat now that you ugraded (your’s very elegant by the way), and breweries brew early. Thank you for the nicedescription of Texel. We’ll be there end of may. Cheers
Thanks for another beautifully narrated exploration. The isolated sounds here were particularly interesting as the squeaking sands of the Gulf Coast are a part of my childhood.
What a beautiful place ,and great cinematography, (to use and old term),------20 years ago before utube ,I lived in the Bay of ilands on a boat ,I met many cruising couples, who supported there ,lifestyle by making things ,one lady etched ur name in rice and put in a magnified tube , anther guy (with a lovely 70 ft yacht ) sketched historic buildings and water colored them ,and sold them once a year (in his home town) in America, another artist painted beautiful Gaughan style ,and supported her 6 kids and a 75 ft schooner,..how times change tho, ,anyway always lovely hearing your charming voice , and Aldo take on food
Imagine living there..... like I do in Harlingen, being able to sail to each of these beautiful islands every weekend... great video 👍( but I do love Vlieland more🤭)
The last few episode's I was hoping you would go to Texel as well so I could see the Island through your eyes. I've spend lots off time there over the years because I love everything it has to offer. Friends off ours live on the Island where the have their outdoor sportscenter called "Zandbank" on the beach. You have actually been there in the video at 5:50 you can see it in the upper right corner and at 6:22 its a complete view off it (the place where you went for a swim...) Thanks for, again, a lovely video and your little impression off part off Texel 👌
As you know I am Biased and Love everything you do.... This video is as Delightful as all the others I have had the pleasure of watching... Take care and stay Happy.. :-)))) xx
This episode was pure joy and magic, especially after you got to the beach 😊 I think your channel is unique! I appreciate your artisty, and, the way you carry us along on adventures in such a real time and transparent way. You guys are treasures 💗 thank you 🙏🤙 p.s. also, I love what you shared about the importance of the well-being of sand dunes, that they need to be allowed to naturally shift as the wind and water moves them... when I was in high school I live in Clearwater Beach, Florida, and, I did a research paper on the importance of the barrier islands how they needed to be free to shift and change in a natural way to serve as protection for the land behind... and, I learned something new (the importance of the layers of naturally occurring sediments) with the information you shared here 👍
Thank you for your wonderful eye for beauty in detail. So glad you have been enjoying yourselves in the Netherlands. It is a country I feel much affinity for, and love the people too.
Your video brought back memories of my stay on Texel in 2015: the whole island covered along superb cycle Paths N from de Koog clockwise via Tuuren and Oudeschilde and the second S and anti-clockwise via den Hoorn and den Burg. Glorious cycling and island; superb Beaches. I too collected Seashells on the sea shore: I still have them. Thanks for the memories.
So brave to go swimming in the Waddenzee this time of year. We turned on the heating straight away and cringed. Well done you two, again a very detailed realistic report of a beautiful area in the Netherlands. Warm greetings from two "cloggies" in Australia
Sweet memories; in my teens my very first (and serious) girlfriend and I spent two wonderful weeks up there and one of them was on Texel. I think, that brewery was there already 🍺 Cheers guys, and thank you again for a very nice episode!
When I was in the army in Germany early 90's we used to go birdwatching on Texel, in February. It was great, so many different winter birds, and deserted! The Dutch were soooo friendly.
Another fascinating episode -- great job!. I look forward to each one. And the spiritual message: The earrings were lovely, thanks to the "artiste" that created them. And the beautiful seashells? An artiste created them as well. Neither the earrings nor the seashells just "happened." God is seen in His creation.
What a lovely video! I am very surprised that we didn't see more sheep! There are more sheep on the island of Texel than human inhabitants. A pity you didn't get to taste the Texel beer. It is delicious. I am looking forward to more videos about the Netherlands. Thank you
We have two folding bikes on our vindoe (40) and it’s worth the trouble.. easy to shop or refuel .. and the best thing about bikes on the boat .. it’s always downhill back home 😂
Lovely! What a nice day out. Never been to Texel, well once, but never left the ship I was working on. I always visit Vlieland, the neighboring island. I am hoping you will go there ever since you arrived in the Netherlands. I can't wait till next week to find out:-)
My favorite view of you is when you are biking in that new hat and altered fashion wear. Adaljno looked especially fit and good I this episode too. Was it the sunset time oh f day? I think not. Probably the Italian in him.. he he
Interesting to see a 1950-54 Chevrolet pickup that far from the US. They weren't know for their gas mileage, so for it to have survived 70 years in such good shape it must be well loved by someone. Aladino even checked it out. LOL. Also, there's nothing sexier than a pretty girl in a men's button up shirt. Good job, Maya!
FYI: the pastry that Aladino was eating is called "gevulde koek". (there is not really a good translation for it in English) Like Aladino already explained the pastry is filled with almond paste. Glad you enjoyed this Dutch tradition!
How were the brown beans? There's a famous Dutch youth's book called "Bartje", (the diminutive of my name), where the rebellious young protagonist declares to his father, "Bartje bidt niet voor bruine bonen! (Bartie won't pray for brown beans!). His father kicks him out of the house for the day, until he comes home somewhat repentant. Almost every Dutch person of my age +/- 20 years knows of this quote, so it cracked me up when you stopped to buy the bruine bonen.
