From Cardboard to Art | Creating a Beautiful Mixed Media Tag for Your Junk Journal!

In today’s video, we’re transforming a simple piece of corrugated cardboard into a beautiful mixed media tag for your junk journal. Using white acrylic paint, DIY texture paste (from my previous video), and a few lovely layers of handmade papers and Tim Holtz ephemera, this tag comes together with texture, color, and heart. 💕 I’ll also be adding some distressed details and finishing touches like seed beads and paper flowers for a unique, personal touch.
As we work through this project, my hope is to inspire you to embrace the creative process and find beauty in the small things. Whether you’re new to junk journaling or have been crafting for years, there’s something here for everyone. Oh, my, thank you. I am teaching a grief recovery class soon and giving the participants journals to decorate as part of the healing process. I want to incorporate this idea. The Scripture and encouragement you share are very helpful.

Beautiful tag! The tool is a cutting plier, aka snipping plier. Around our home in the garage and craft room it is known as the snippers! Hope that helps❤
