I too have experience of this turn around in a horse l am training with Derek and Jo's Schooling Made Simple. The horse l am training was stamped dangerous, now he is the happiest, kind, loving, bendy and balanced horse, he runs to the gate, thrusts his head into his bridle, has a smile on his face when his saddle goes on and we have the best magic fun, love and laughter in our training. Jo and Derek, provide everything you need from A to Z, they are there to answer queries, to delicately assist in answering questions. Their work, dedication, love and support has given me and my horses strength, especially when so many people push to solve issues with the next gadget. This video is super ❤❤

He is not consistently round and he is not connected from the back to the front. He is too long

Please watch again to appreciate the difference in his presentation. It’s a journey.

We absolutely must not expect people and horses to “jump” from a struggle to a perfect Instagram presentation. I think it is so detrimental. The JOURNEY is everything - yes very easy to forget, but it really is. Of course he isn’t constantly connected and round and perfect. These two are amateurs and this is their hobby. The lady in the video is working to improve and learn, she is trying her best and the horse is clearly much happier and they are on the road to success. She is very brave to have come to the Internet to expose herself and her horse before they look perfect and she has done it to advance other peoples learning. In the kindest possible way - please , please think about this next time you comment.

Compared to what? This is schooling for the benefit of horse and rider. It's how we train horses to carry us comfortably and with ease. It benefits their physical and mental health. They enjoy being ridden and they become a pleasure to ride. Watch the entire video and listen to what Camilla says. When she started with Jakes, he was so bad no-one wanted to ride him. Now he loves life and they win dressage competitions. They are both very happy. Where's the problem?
