Great work on the video! I have a few suggestions since you asked for feedback: If you’re short on time to edit the captions, it might be better to leave them out. RU-vid’s auto-captions are actually quite accurate compared to Premiere Pro’s. 🙂 Regarding the title, if it's just part 1, calling it a full movie might be a bit confusing. It feels more like a VoD in that case. There are different ways to approach editing longform content, depending on how much time you want to invest. Personally, I script and do a voice-over for the main video, which helped me turn this whole pack into a 2-hour video. But it did take an extra month after finishing the pack! Also, some background music could help fill the silent sieving sessions and keep the flow going. Your game audio and mic settings are spot on, though! Wishing you the best of luck on your journey. Keep up the great work! 😊
Wow! Hi Hobble! I came across your atm:tts movie while I was editing this and thought, man, somebody did this whole pack... in one video... and it's even shorter than this... LOL. I watched up until you started AE2 because I really want to re-learn that mod myself, but I did set up and auto-clicker as soon as possible! Thank you so much for your tips! I've been watching others' "Minecraft Movie" content and I was trying to make sure I could get and retain audiences who watch similar longform edited minecraft content. The Movie part of the title really is just to reach that demographic of people who are already watching movies, and it seems to have worked at least a little bit, but you are right, it is not completely accurate. Do you know what it would be best to call something like this? A very long edited video that is more of a slow-play? I know most of them are limited to an in-game day or real life hour span like "100 days" or "50 hours" but since this is neither of those I did struggle to categorize what this is, I guess more of an edited vod but I feel like that doesn't have the same reach. The captions are going away lol, I just saw it in a lot of older content, hadn't realized it fell out of fashion, especially if they aren't corrected. I looked for some background music but didn't find much I liked, do you use the RU-vid music options or another site? I came across bensound while editing the new video and I was considering getting some tracks off of there. I might look into doing a scripted voiceover for another modpack series, you do get a lot more done in those than these longer edited vods, I'll just have to see if that style works for me and my schedule. The goal is to just play minecraft as much as possible but maybe an extra month of editing is worth it if this turns into something. Again thank you so much for your help Hobble! It means a lot that you'd take the time to do that, and the fact that you found this video means something is working! I'm already surprised by the performance of this video, given my other attempts to start youtube, so I'm sure your tips will just help me grow faster.
@@ppVon You’re in a great position with your VoDs-you could easily create 1-hour edited videos from streams that go over an hour. If you set a clear goal for each stream, like automating sieves, it’ll be easier to come up with titles like “This NEW Mechanic has FIXED Sieves Forever | Episode 3.”. For this video, find something you got excited about or accomplished, and work out a title around that. From what I’ve seen, captions are still popular, but mostly for the intro. I use Inaudio for background music; it’s about £6 a month. They also have a RU-vid channel called "Infraction" if you want to check them out. The format I use takes a lot of effort, and uploading every two months isn’t ideal, but it works for my schedule. Finding the right audience is definitely a slow process. I clicked on your video because I was excited to see someone doing a similar format, and I was a bit sad when it wasn’t the case. 😅 But honestly, I think focusing on growth can be counterproductive. As long as each video is better than the last, growth will come naturally. I spent a year making daily episodes that weren’t great and saw no growth, but it turns out viewers actually appreciate the effort we put into our content. Happy to help, and keep up the great work!
