Lol, if you have a home gym, you have some mistakes laying around. When I recently downsized, I was forced to sell my mistakes and little used items. Not the worst thing in the world.
You both did an amazing job transforming that space. Plenty of space to setup that next rack you've got on the way and look forward to all the future videos.
Of course Wynie stole the show. Her confidence even when not knowing exactly what the item number is was hilarious. And the way you looked at the camera when she was talking about the Rogue Adjustable Bench was funny.
Hey guys. I have a suggestion for you're dead lift platform. A couple things, a 5 inch solid white oak painted frame around the whole platform with a nice gentle slope to avoid stubbing your toe and tripping on it. When it's not use strap it and have a hoist for overhead storage. Or if you can spare wall space, store it vertically and flip it down when in use. Or leave it in 3 pieces for easy storage
Aperture engineering... He makes additional protection for rack attachments such as 3D printed jcup protection... Bought some protection for the front of my titan roller jcups but he has more... One man shop prices and shipping very reasonable too
Definitely should feature Wynie more on the channel. Would be good to get a female perspective on gym equipment. The bit about the benches was really helpful.
You guys are so great! Wynie’s commentary is hilarious! Great vid as always! Idk if the platform is really necessary. I used to have one but got rid of it because of the lip too 🤣
@@GlucksGym there’s a really good subfloor product at Lowe’s that I used. Would take a lot of effort since you’d basically have to clear the whole gym to lay it down. It’s made by Dricore and is really easy to lay down. Then you could just lay in a plywood platform nice and flush.
Excellent gym. It's interesting to see the character in home gyms. Covering windows, cheap Christmas presents, different opinions on benches, etc. Nice work! P.S. Get some vintage weights. They've got lots of character.
This current layout, no. In my planning a home gym video I did layout a bunch of it but haven't updated. Im sure I've listed prices in a vid (true cost of a home gym maybe?). Other than that I don't have anything officially listed. What were you looking for?
@@GlucksGym hey thanks for responding! Just a rough layout of the shed(?) and how you’ve organized things. You’ve got the perfect amount of space. This is so spacious compared to other home gyms!
The Gym is Awesome and has come a long way! Nice work. Sorry about recommending the PR5K over the 4K, but in my defense, the WS hole spacing wouldn't help you with J-Cup heights for squats.
Grind Fitness in Rahway NJ is a great, up and coming equipment company. They make the equipment in house. Awesome idea man! Support the little guy (especially American made 🇺🇸)
Probably know already, but rep has some j hooks that sit and inch lower than their normal ones to mimic westside spacing throughout. Not as nice looking as the sandwich cups though
Wynie, If it makes you feel better, I don't think you are the least coordinated person. My sister was getting off a boat the other week and missed the 1 foot gap resulting in an impromptu swim.
Awesome gym! I love my PR 5000 but the only down side I’ve had is when benching having my flip safeties at 7 is sometimes too high and 6 is too low. West side spacing would be nice but man something about that 1 inch hardware would never let me drop down to the 5/8 😂
Here is a list of a few, some better know than others that I have bought from or have a piece or two on my wish list: Mike Bartos Power Center, Black Widow Training Gear, Mutant Metals, Surplus Strength, Kleva Built, Havak Designs, BareSteelEquipment, Ghost, ISellFitness
Where did you purchase the custom weight belt for Winnie? I would love to get one for my wife also. Love your channel. Keep up the great work. I ordered from XII XI after discovering them through your channel. Thank you for that.
Nice looking gym..10 bars ?wow...is that necessary? I have 2 bars and Thats all I really need even after 37 years of being into weight training...My best bar is the one I use for everything ..Simple and functional. Interesting how most of gyms I've seen on here do basically look identical ..people copy people. The American flag just behind the bars a classic..:)I love gyms who look like they have lifting history , rust steel , and thousands of hours on the odometer...
Hello, great set-up! Is that weight storage for the 5 and 2.5 plates from Sorinex or another vendor? Did it match well with the Rep storage posts? Thanks.
It is! I'm starting to realize how much stuff we missed! Lined up perfectly. I wanted to do the triple from Stray Dog but they couldn't coat it for me.
if you don't mind saying, what is the total square footage of the building? looking to build something at my house, looks like it would be similar in size to what you have. sounds like the gym equipment is in about 480sf from the video, just didn't know if that included that seemingly unused corner (guessing that is saved for parking?)
I'm not sure I could really justify both tbh. They're both cool products but do much of the same thing. Sure the angle is nice but it depends what you're using them on. Personally I do enough dumbbell stuff and have an ez curl bar so the angle isn't as helpful but that's just my own uses
Over/under on number of people Amazon-searching “Slingshot by Mark Twain”? I LOL’d at levels inappropriate to the workplace when that happened. Angie from HR would like a word.
With the Functional Trainer, can you use that as a lat pull-down or do you not do that exercise? I want a FT but lat pull-down was always one of my favorite exercises.
Im your fan Gluck dont worry, also winny ran into a tree and said she "doesnt recall" that tree must have messed her up, might wanna do a brain scan haha
@@GlucksGym Yeah, I know slippy as one of a number of Pittsburghese words. But apparently it is more widely known than that. It is much rarer outside of western PA, but still exists.
Nice gym, I wish you a lot of fun with it, but this is something I would not call a home gym. A home gym is something affordable for a lot of people in a normal garage and not in a square which is big as a football place and worth at least I gues 100.000 Euros.
I got distracted and looked away for a minute, and when I looked back I 100% thought that Wynnie had taken her pants off from 5:15-5:25 before she moved
You certainly won the wife lottery in Wynie, a woman who sees the practical side of today's fitness industry, and she comes with a built-in sense of humor! Your gym is an investment that will pay for itself for decades to come. Every video is a real treat for us. I hope you realize how grateful we are for all your work. Have a great weekend you two!
This comment is incredibly nice. I'm glad to hear people appreciate it, hopefully the mighty algorithm delivers us to more people 😁 and you're right. Wynie is a winning lottery ticket and I definitely know how lucky I am!
