Words don't seem to come so easy When I need them oh so badly Here's to playing tug of war with my vocal chords Maybe I can give this another Shot or sing about a broken Heart, or imitate the way it feels If this is happening for real This distance seems closer When you shove it in my face This moment has left me with nothing else to say I'm losing my interest with these empty pages They're torn, and have frayed edges This torn, dusty book Is bothered by my rusty eye and I can't see No, I can't breathe Put me on the next page outta here To live forever on this paper Capture this void and fill it with the frenzy in my voice Killing time by drawing faces that stare back at me from the margins In a sea of 8 and a half by elevens I'm drowning in... Treading through run on sentences And sinking into empty text I'll swallow the salt And spit a few dry words out This distance seems closer When you shove it in my face This moment has left me with nothing else to say I'm losing my interest with these empty pages They're torn, and have frayed edges This torn, dusty book Is bothered by my rusty eye and I can't see No, I can't breathe Put me on the next page outta here To live forever on this paper Capture this void and fill it with the frenzy in my voice No matter what I say, no matter what I write here, I'm sick of always looking at this page with a blank stare You never seem to know, and they never seem to tell you Words don't always come as easily as you might want them to [2x] Throw this paper into fire and take me with it Just take me with it Throw this paper into fire, into fire, yeah Throw this paper into fire, into this fire Throw this paper into fire and throw me with it Just throw me with it
My older brother had me listening to this when I was only in 4th grade and I just remember listening to this album, specifically this song, and playing Shrek Superslam on Gamecube.
My and my sister used to jam Coheed, but she'd often use my computer and play the first Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV album all the way through whilst I was playing stuff like Shadow the Hedgehog. Perhaps that's why I have much better memories of that game lol
@@karabartley Crash Bash, that was a blast if you had someone to play with. I tried completing it on my own and couldn't unlock the last few levels lol
I remember getting an Epitaph DVD / CD and seeing FFTL for the first time and was hooked. Saw them when they were touring Heroine on the Black Clouds and Underdogs tour and they were awesome live.
I did it with a frenzy in my voice xD through this paper into fire and take me with just take me with it - best analogy of writers block I’ve ever heard..ever
I've actually been trying to find the old mixes of the songs on this album. I remember this one, Kiss Me I'm Contagious, and Pestilence all sounding remarkably different. My old burned copy of the CD had the old mixes, but I haven't seen it in years.
@@R3N1GM4well I just found out like 30mins ago this mix is the remastered.. I always thought this was the og mix. They have the og mixes on Spotify and took down the remastered version. I prefer the remaster
@@doomkid02 Indeed, he was the only vocalist in the beginning, then Phil joined for a few demos and Aesthetic EP. Then Phil left and Sonny came in for this album. Then Sonny left after Heroine and it went back to Matt, I'm sure the other guys did vocals here and there, though.

Lol I used to play that song a lot. I even had a crappy cover up on YT, however I don't think it does sound like this one. Maybe just the "I feel better with no remorse" line.
