Inspired by this video, I tried it on the way home (GRU to Moema). It works and the price is right ($R 4.5) but it did take 2+ hours, but it was interesting. Compared to Taxi $R 201, 45 min. But I did feel a little exposed, vulnerable with my luggage, so I probably would not repeat again.

This is an excellent video. I used it to get the train last time I visited Sao Paulo. The train is much better than getting Bus 257.

@@keilabalderaseid2507 Sure, Keila. You will need to go to TIETÊ BUS TERMINAL to be able to go to Rio. I was checking the timetable here, but due to COVID, the express train that would take you to the subway's blue line is suspended. So there's just one train left to take you there, but you will need to go to Bras (as I explain on the video) and then you take the subway red line towards BARRA FUNDA. You will get off on SÉ station and take the blue line TOWARDS TUCURUVI. Then get off on TIETÊ station, which is connected to the BUS TERMINAL that sells tickets to RIo.

@@keilabalderaseid2507 By taking the train as I explained, you will spend R$ 4.30 only. There's the UBER option from the airport to the Terminal, but it will cost you (as I have checked) around R$ 43.00

You buy one ticket and get off the train at your destination or any other you want without specifying where you're going. I don't know if I understood you correctly.

Well, there are many buses and trains and subway trains that are prepared for receiving physically challenged people here. U will also find elevators on the train platforms and escalators everywhere. The sidewalks, though, depending on where you're staying, might be an issue. All in all, when it comes to public transportation, it shouldn't be a problem whatsoever.

After getting the train from the airport, you will end up on LUZ STATION. From there, you can take the YELLOW line to a station called PAULISTA.

Sao Paulo is the safest city in the whole Brazil. The trains have the subway quality, with modern cars/wagons and luggage compartments. It's modern, clean and not many people use them. I highly recommend you to take them. SP is my favorite city in the country. I live here with my little daughter and my wife and we go places here without worrying about violence and stuff like that! Notice on my videos from the downtown area that there's always a police car around us... everywhere we go!
