In her talk, Wilma Emanuelsson, a 19-year-old hacker, entrepreneur, and speaker, shares her journey of starting to learn about cybersecurity at the age of 7, to becoming the CEO and Founder of the deep-tech startup iTrack Reading.
With an inspiring message, Wilma Emanuelsson reminds us of the butterfly effect's significance as a powerful call to action, urging us to take bold steps and challenge ourselves, even when we haven't fully discovered our potential. Additionally, she emphasizes the importance of changing our mindset about our own capabilities to take control of the butterfly effect in our lives.
Wilma is now a 19-year-old offensive cybersecurity specialist, entrepreneur, and speaker. She recently founded the deep-tech startup iTrack Reading, which is developing software that uses eye-tracking technology and machine learning to help people with dyslexia read fluently, make language learning more effective and automated, as well as increase focus for those with ADHD.
With her childhood dream in mind, she continued working in the field of hacking, eventually becoming a hacktivist, tracking and taking down harmful and illegal sites engaged in human trafficking. She knew that she wanted to continue using her skills to help others and eventually started performing freelance ethical hacking. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
