honestly I found it interesting when you talked about how you were taught how to land as kids. I wouldn't mind if you guys talked about gymnastics practice more. I never did gymnastics as a kid, but I've done other sports as a kid and an adult, coached and refereed so I find it interesting to hear about how other sports kept kids interested and motivated into their adolescence, what are the important skills to drill etc

I found it interesting to hear about the physics of gymnastics and the forces that you put on your body. It would be interesting to see a video about what happens to a gymnast's body when they're doing their routines. But then again, I'm a nerd!🤓

The sticks were impressive, wow. Good stuff Nile, conquering that height! btw, the kangaroo story was an urban myth that got debunked.
@Christina-hj4hh
@Christina-hj4hh 2 года назад
A common myth about the kangaroo's English name is that it was a Guugu Yimithirr phrase for "I don't know" or "I don't understand".[15] According to this legend, Cook and Banks were exploring the area when they happened upon the animal. They asked a nearby local what the creatures were called. The local responded "kangaroo", said to mean "I don't know/understand", which Cook then took to be the name of the creature.[16] Anthropologist Walter Roth was trying to correct this legend as far back as in 1898, but few took note until 1972 when linguist John B. Haviland in his research with the Guugu Yimithirr people was able to confirm that gangurru referred to a rare large dark-coloured species of kangaroo.

2 answer ur ? Stoney, a VERY BIG YES 2 lots of aches & pains as u get older they get much worse. Including arthritis among other joint related problems. I'm gonna b 64 in July. I was a competitive gymnast, in the US in the 1970's. Full scholarship 2 college 4 gymnastics. I went several times n medaled in the AAU Junior Olympics. Floor & Vault were my Fav. But I did All Around. I've had 2 spinal surgeries, 7 vertebrae fused w rods, screws & hooks. From T 10 - L4. Lt ankle reconstruction in '76.... Also besides all the pounding & abuse it causes on our bodies, any injurys you've had will cause more pain & probably getting arthritis... Later in life. Not fun getting out of bed in the morning! 🙄 But I still miss my competing days! I love all of you guy's videos. I've subscribed 2 all of of ur channels & also subscribe 2 each 1. I watch every day. Keep up the great work. I need the laughs & the gymnastics 2. This is 2 ALL of u. Stay safe & Thank you 4 putting a smile on my face!! Sincerely, Nisa Northup-Fisher, RN. 💞🐾🤸🤸🤸

Luke, I’m 32 and my body just is absolutely not what it used to be. I remember being in drumline in high school, running around a field with a drum strapped on me in the blazing summer sun on black asphalt after going to school all day on only 3-4 hours of sleep. Now, if I sneeze weird I can be out of commission for days. Getting older is WEIRD.

Maybe someone can explain this to me... How did Nile rolling his shorts up so his junk was barely covered assist with him jumping from higher heights? The only logical explanation I can come up with is he has the shorts cupped under everything to keep it from being able to bounce as much?bi don't see how that would help much but there has to be a reason he loves rolling his shorts up for vids.

I think you'd get along swimmingly (pun intended) and her boyfriend, Aiden Hislop is a British Team Platform Diver and a Red Bull High Diver from Britain. Plus, you'd be able to call yourself #bravies and be part of #bravegang.

The kangaroo thing is untrue. "A widely held belief has it that the word kangaroo comes from an Australian Aboriginal word meaning "I don't know." This is in fact untrue. The word was first recorded in 1770 by Captain James Cook, when he landed to make repairs along the northeast coast of Australia. In 1820, one Captain Phillip K. King recorded a different word for the animal, written "mee-nuah." As a result, it was assumed that Captain Cook had been mistaken, and the myth grew up that what he had heard was a word meaning "I don't know" (presumably as the answer to a question in English that had not been understood). Recent linguistic fieldwork, however, has confirmed the existence of a word gangurru in the northeast Aboriginal language of Guugu Yimidhirr, referring to a species of kangaroo. What Captain King heard may have been their word minha, meaning "edible animal."

Larger surface area helps stick it, more stable, which is why you also want to land feet a bit apart, just to increase stability, same reason walking flat feet is easier and less wobbly than walking tip toe
