I distinctly recall a couple of years ago a group of people, some armed, running into the capitol building chanting for certain senators to be hanged among other things, trying to break into the gallery, and people dying in the ensuing violence. New? No I don't think this is new.
It has nothing to do with gun culture. The shooter didn’t own the gun. The number of gun incidents does not reflect as being from people who legally own and use firearms. Just people who obtained them illegally. Usually no firearm safety training or participation in lawful uses. Millions of Americans are responsible and safe gun owners/users.
