In this NFL documentary, you'll learn the story of Brock Purdy, whose journey began when he was at Iowa State. He gets drafted with the last pick of the 2022 NFL Draft by the 49ers, making him Mr. Irrelevant 2022. In this ESPN 30 for 30 like feature, watch him take over for the San Francisco 49ers as a rookie following Trey Lance injury and Jimmy Garoppolo injury. @@bonzology322 If I recall the Niners tied the game with their 4th string QB. That's when the NFL made the call. "don't let the niners win." Think about the narrative for the superbowl? There wouldn't be one. So it made sense to hand the eagles the victory. Purdy> Hurts. I will take Brains over Brawn ALL DAY!

Nothing against Trey Lance but Purdy stepped in and immediately led the 49'ers to 6 straight wins in 2022. He earned the QB starter last year and then it was only a matter of time before Lance gets traded.

Ngl I’m a big Seahawks fan, but I like Brock Purdy a lot. He’s quite the qb in the pocket and I watched him smush our defense into a pulp twice and that was more than enough to make me respect him. He deserved to be picked higher. I watched some of his film from college before the draft and I thought he looked pretty good, but I guess scouts didn’t see much in him.

Brock Purdy has to be one of the biggest steals in NFL draft history. He’s the real deal, he’s gone from Mr. Irrelevant to Mr. Can’t do without him. I love watching him play, I see a lot of Joe Montana in how Brock Purdy plays the game, the improvising, the short passing game, he’s a joy to watch. In Brock Purdy I trust.

Purdy has been amazing to watch..... He exhibits confidence and the game is not too fast for him. Great vision and cool on the pocket and able to go through his reads like a veteran.... He is lucky to land in the perfect spot for him. A team with a great cast and a gifted coach who can help him play to his strengths.

As an englishman who has only been in love with the nfl for 3 years I can't say I have the experience to doubt the knowledgeable American fans, pundits and people in the positions that count in order to make these picks but this is crazy to me! This kid is now the number 1 ranked qb in the nfl (just behind lamar Jackson imo) who would've thought they would repeat the Tom Brady mistake all over again... madness!

Bro so Happy for Brock am a Giants fan for life.. but the guy everyone counted out came in and just balled.. some will say he walked into the perfect situation but he was barely drafted, the chip on his shoulders had to be huge. His heart that first start had to be beating out his chest , when he did get hurt it was just the football gods saying not yet 49ers, to loose 4 QBs in one season is crazy the fact the team held together was impressive.

I have watched him play Oklahoma 4 years and I thought he would be a mid 1st or early 2nd round draft. Was shocked when he went late. He was awesome with not so much talent around him. He always gave us trouble.

IOWA STATE CYCLONES. In Iowa, it seems so Hawkeye Nation that it's nice to see STATE gets some love, too. I worked in Boone, Iowa, one summer minutes from State. 50 years later, the one thing I remember the most is all those beautiful girls going to school there. I'm from South Dakota, but Iowa rocks all over.
