This was so amazing to hear. Jordan Matter has been my favorite RU-vidr for 3 years and I knew yall were apart of it. I’m not a ballet dancer but I love to dance and have been since I was a kid. I actually take a historic dance, so it’s dancing from like 1700s-1800s and I love it. I loved your story and I think your dream coming true is such a miracle, praise Jesus.❤

The author Chaim Potok wrote "An artist has got to get acquainted with himself just as much as he can. It is no easy job, for it is not a present-day habit of humanity." I feel like one of the things that I learned from watching this video was that you definitely learned who you are. You discovered yourself through your art in many ways... Although I'm sure your family and your faith had big part of it too. But you transitioned from being a young person who wanted to perform and to be loved and accepted and you became somebody who simply learned to accept yourself. And I think that's a very valuable lesson. I'm sure there are a lot of dancers who look up to you and to all of your sisters, but more than just your ability as a dancer I hope that they can see that this journey of yours was about moving past your dreams. Moving past your goals even. And learning to be yourself. To find the best part of yourself. And that's what you said you did. I'm a lot older then you and I can say that I have forgotten that. When you described that moment at the gala when you knew it was the last time you were going to dance that and you were going to remember it in the moment... I thought that was very moving. You have a lot of dance left in you and you will do many performances but you will also be a wonderful teacher and choreographer because you can pass those lessons on to younger dancers. Thank you for this great video.
