Same, the only thing I regret, is that in my country there are very few flea markets, and there are no much fly wheels, or arr super expensive

@@marcelloramazzini5402 In Serbia, you can find basically anything on flea markets and scrap jards!! I bought a set of 30 Hirsch chisels for wood for just 27 euros !!! I was able to find some old WW 1 german, cast iron electric, and foot/crank machines!! Excellent condition, only little rust, or some parts missing or damaged, but nothing that cant be repaired or replaced. They selling it as old iron for some ridiculous price!!!

A real gem Chris....from start to beautiful finish. One question: how dry was that walnut log....with regard to if it was dry, no problem....if it was wet.....possible cracking or checking. Best wishes for a merry Christmas and prayers for a much better new year!

Sir, I split lots of locust posts and rails. One tip.... I switched from driving wedges with a sledge and started using a maul. That way, once you have a split going, just hit the gap with the maul and pop the pieces apart. Your work quality and video presentation are top notch and are much appreciated.

I have the dog that can pull that sled! When can I expect delivery? 🤣 You need a proper harness for your dog. My dog has the correct harness, so another reason to send the sled to me!

Super project and great all around skills. Love the use of handtools only. You must have magic stuff cause every time I tried to split a log longwise with wedges I always managed to get every wedge I owned stuck in the log and couldn't get them out.

Very confident... You obviously never had to get steel chips removed from your facial tissue, penetrating skin and flesh and only being stopped by bone. There is a reason experienced operators use wooden mauls on steel wedges or nylon wedges with steel axes. Good luck for the future!

That Walnut log could have been used in a better way than split too pieces thinking maybe furniture more deserving for a Walnut log thay size
