About the talk:
In the world of Kubernetes, the use of pod and container systems by tech industries is becoming increasingly common. However, we cannot just use the containers and pods and ignore in understanding their health. Ensuring the health and performance of these systems can be a difficult task. That's why understanding and monitoring vital signs is essential to maximise efficiency and prevent critical failures and act fast to resolve them quickly. Vital signs refer to the metrics that are critical for maintaining the health and performance of these systems. But how can you effectively monitor these vital signs? The answer lies in the pod and container monitoring using open-source tools. This presentation will showcase the end-to-end pipeline of how these metrics originate and how can we use these collected metrics and process them using Prometheus and Grafana. We will also discuss the end goal on how this will help and impact the systems running on Kubernetes and allow users and cluster admins to be in control of these systems.
