Did you know that particle accelerators are also used to treat cancer?
That medical imaging has taken great leaps forwards thanks to the crystals and chips developed for particle physics And that CERN is home to a facility that develops isotopes for #medical research? Ever since X-rays were discovered by Wilhelm Röntgen in 1895, physics and medicine have been closely intertwined. Medical imaging and cancer treatments have benefited from developments in particle #physics over the years, and the innovations continue today, including in collaboration with CERN. As part of CERN’s 70th anniversary celebrations, doctors, biologists and physicists will walk you through how the collaboration between fundamental physics and medicine is leading to innovative #treatment methods and diagnostic techniques. One special patient - a researcher, writer and populariser of science - will share with us his experience of being treated for cancer in one of the four European centres for hadron therapy.

So first, learn mathematical(s) calculations and thereomatical applications, then there’s physics. Infinite way, roads example after second just written, you’re going to choose example between chemical(s) or informatical studies…Probably you’re not going to collaborate with NASA too but, you’re going to study about “ speed lighting “, as sun, cause through this speed ( just little slower) were been possible contacts/ impacts to find HIGGS BOSON…So again have nice work 😮

One of the reasons I asked that is watching the hydrocollator take some of its participation with heat particles and then they show you certain areas of nature and you see color and differences taking place out into the atmosphere. It makes me wonder if we've got ours dialed in to where we want the actions taken place out or also if in those areas you need to have different plant structures to try to see how it would affect different parts of nature other than just an empty field of Rock

I worked in medical imaging and radiation oncology for 45 years. These areas are the greatest gifts physics has given mankind . Best wishes

I need anyway to repair a damaged optic nerve. Could it possible ( fantasy way) repair it putting a damaged structure on / under ray of particles accelerator?
@Geolijon
@Geolijon 6 месяцев назад
First of, that could imply that you are willing to shoot a beam of particles through your brain right? Secondly, I think that particles are used to destroy things like tumors. Not sure if destroying something could "undmamage" a nerve. 3rd option: Something goes wrong, you get irradiated and get a super power, like regeneration, which could help. Could be false, I am just interested in physics, not that I have a education in it except for some youtube videos I stayed up too long watching.

Whenever hearing "Large" Hadron Collidor I am curious what happened with the small and medium version, also if the next one would be called huge or giant.

The universe keeps expanding so it’s probably never ending.. we only have somewhat of what we know about the universe untill we can create bigger ones

But tell everyone about the “medicines” you’ll be able to give them through the air (whether they want it or not)…IEEE and W-Ban…human biofield and biosensors etc. Electoceuticals and all that exciting stuff! Energy harvesting. Fun times.

You guys really need to take a high school physics course The rectangular prisms of Sapphire are the newest innovation and particle beam science that will allow us to do internal surgeries without dissecting a person in order to get to where we need to be
