Nice to see you, Amanda. I am thankful for what you do. You help me every year to choose my planner. I always make my purchases through your links. This is my way of saying thank you.
THIS IS IT! I work from home and I started doing chores during my lunch break to get up and moving, when I have more energy, as opposed to dragging through them at the end of the work day.
Great video Amanda! I have learned through the years to get my priorities for the day done in the early morning hours - whether it be planning, cleaning, work outs, placing orders, etc. otherwise that dreaded forward arrow to move my task to the next day appears. “We are going to die with To Do lists”. I love this cuz I know it rings true for me.
I love that tip. It feels personal because I'm at a low energy level for the past month. I have a burst of energy for couple hours where I can finish a few important tasks back to back and the rest of the day I'm stalling. It's really bad because I have a lot going on right now. but lately I find that I can focus better at evening, after work hours, when I have peace and quiet, even though I'm usually a morning person.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the energy levels. I think we can change at different times of year and different seasons of life. I say if you are getting more done in the evenings right now then go with the flow;)
Excellent tip to share! This is actually something I have been doing all along, even before finding the planning community. With hypothyroidism, I know by now where my energy levels rise and dip and where I can fit in the most work.
Great video Amanda! ❤️ Loved the tip.. so true, I’m a morning person too! And the season of life as well affects our energy and productivity. Knowing ourselves and going with our rhythms etc vs just powering through and maybe not getting it done, is very helpful! Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and family! 🎄💕✨
Hey Sonia:) Thank you for being here and always for your support:) Love knowing you are a morning person too:) Merry Christmas to you and your family as well:)
Hi, All of the tips have been really helpful. There are things that I would like to implement into my planning that I’ve never done, like color coding and block scheduling after watching the videos. I would have to say that my favorite tip is doing what you don’t want to do first.
Excellent Amanda! I appreciate your tip because I am a night owl, so it’s hard for me to adjust to so many productivity tips that emphasize mornings. I need to work when it’s best for me! I enjoyed Plan Sarah Plan’s tip on utilizing deadlines, Rachelle Plan’s emphasis on Routines, and Carlie Harling’s importance of Systems. Fantastic series from top to bottom!
Awww, Vickie:) Thank you dear friend! And yes- it's hard for me to believe too. With him being gone for 2 years it really does seem like I lost those years! He shouldn't be this old!
"we usually run out of energy before we run out of time" - 100%! I try to only schedule things that are actually scheduled (meetings, appointments), and then have two daily lists: the first is anything I absolutely MUST do. The second is what I intend to do. In 2024 I'm going to try keeping a 'backlog': a long ongoing todo list, maybe in some notes pages in my planner. Stuff I want to do but that isn't urgent will go on there so it's out of my brain, but not adding the pressure of a massive list to a specific day/week.
Okay I love this "2 lists a day" thing! Genius! I always do a top 3...but then just list the rest out...and add as the day goes on. I am going to try this asap! And I always keep an on going to do list too- I must have it out of my head;) Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful reminder Amanda. I used to do this and moved away from it but I really need to get back to it. Always a pleasure to have you in this collaboration, thank you. Be blessed.
I just went to order another Get To Work Book page marker bookmark and the shop is closed!!! I LOVED their bookmark!!!! You were the one who introduced me to it and it has been my very favorite for my mini Day Designer!! Any ideas on how to find that awesome bookmark anywhere else? I loved it because it was long, sturdy. 😢 Update…I emailed Elise after digging around on the internet. Hopefully I can find where to purchase it. Silly problem to have….but LOVE that bookmark 😅
Oh, good...I hope she can help you out! Golden Coil makes a good bookmark for wire-o planners but they are a bit longer...so it depends on the height of your planner. And Makselife used to make them...they just switched to coil bound planners this year. Maybe they still have some left on their site?! I also love Laurel Denise's book mark...Good luck!
Please share the brand of the washi tape drawer organizer. I've been thinking about buying one like it and only seen Simply Tidy and Deflecto. But I'm not sure which one to pick 😅 Thanks!
@@AmandasFavorites the core to planning is how you feel. If you wake up and you have a headache for 4 hours nothing gets done until you start your day.
Hi:) I am sorry I don't have a link for you- I bought them in a Michael's store several years ago- and I don't know the brand. But this looks like mine: www.michaels.com/product/threedrawer-washi-organizer-by-simply-tidy-10542364?michaelsStore=5188&inv=5
