This video is about Fall 2023 FASHION TRENDS AND HOW TO STYLE THEM. In this video I talk about a few A/W 2023 fashion trends and microtrends that were seen on the runway. Brands like Miu Miu, Tory Burch, and Etro have had very distinct trends that I’m excited to see this year. I also touch on why this year’s trends are giving quiet luxury. I talk about the fashion cycle and how it dictated this year’s trends. I give historical examples and talk about what it all means for your personal style. I also talk about the trends found in stores and even give insight into this autumn’s beauty trend. At the end of the video, I talk about the fashion and styling of the show “And Just Like That”. Hey Girl! Hey! I gotta say that for me peplums never really went out of style! I am curvy and some days curvier than others (the struggle is real) So a uniform for me is typically a peplum top paired with a pencil skirt. It’s a flattering look and hides my tummy! I have also been digging pinstripes and red lipstick all day everyday!

I really like how you switch the format of your videos… they are always so natural to me and of course I still love your jazz music that you keep in your videos. Seems like you are showcasing more of your talent in knowledge of fashion as well. I know the struggle about being more curvy on some days. GIRL!🤦🏾‍♀️ The peplum with a pencil skirt is so classy. I think my problem with peplum is that were it hides some folks tummy it accentuates mine.😩 Pinstripes paired with a red lip is EVERYTHING! Have a great week Jennifer!❤️

Agree with you about ...And Just Like That. Lisa's fashion is my favorite. Carrie's comment about Big was an example of some of the writing problems. I'm sure it fell flat with long time show fans. Changing the subject to red lipstick. It love it, but find it hard to find one that doesn't bleed into lip lines. I've tried the ones you mentioned. THE stila one makes my lips painfully dry. The best, but not perfect version I found recently is Haus Labs Atomic Shine Lip Lauer in Cherry Shine. It's a bit drying, but doesn't bleed and stays put pretty well.

I loved so much of this. The red lipsticks are gorgeous! Love red and deep purple. I rock those year round. Have also been loving a red lip with pink eyeshadow, it makes me so happy. I love that you talked fashion, not only how it cycles, (loving the thigh high beige boots from MK); but the fashion on AJLT. I love seeing older women in beautiful clothes! And still having sex appeal and appreciation of their majesty. All the ladies look fabulous. And the other characters are very stylish too. It’s a feast for the eyes. The thigh high boots were everything weren't they!?😩 There is something about a women who ages and continues to hold on to her fashion sense! This video is so insightful. 88’ MKors looks like saint launtent today. Then I’m so in love with the fact peplum is actually back, I was just talking about it in my earliest office core days and had no idea it’s a 2023 trend. Also the olive oil green is everything. 🎀

Loved this format today Kura. The cyclic fashion styles is very much evident with the ladies born in my era from the 70’s. I’m a peplum girl but with a more classic twist. I too wish Samantha was still on cast with her beautiful style of fashion. I must watch this show you speak of. The red lipstick has also been my go to.

Great video and I am a fan of SATC and JLT has grown on me, especially the diversity of the cast. I loved the fashion of both seasons of JLT but I think they took it up a notch this season I love Lisa and Seema's looks the best also.

Yes, I am a Sex in the City Fan. I am soooo glad you are highlighting the fashion on the new show. I could never identify the designers. I sometime had to record and slowly roll back the credits to see if the designers were mentioned. Or, back in the magazine days look to see if the designers were mentioned in an article. THANK YOU for the commentary. Could you please highlight some more designers in the new show, I cannot wait. The lipstick yep! great job smearing us along!!! Ha Ha ha

Forgot to also mention, that I also slow down the tv ending credits to find out the Wardrobe Supervisor or Consultant name - to find out who was responsible for the fashion.... (& Art Director or Consultant to see who was over the beautiful interior decor on a show). Then I search RU-vid videos for that person discussing their thougjt process behind the show selections. I search their Instagram...where they may break down outfits they chose/styled for the show characters or future projects (I.e. Mandi Line the first 5 fashionable seasons of PLL...or Paula Alto for Scandal. I forget who did the fashion for House of Cards and for HBO's In Treatment the last season (the latter had stunning clothes on its Black female lead and her home-office has OUTSTANDING decor and color scheme). Also, Google for any interview articles featuring that person...in which they spill fashion secrets of where they bought the clothes. Also, because I followed certain wardrobe consultants' projects, I can now immediate spot the blueprint style of that person (i.e. Patricia Field - SATC wardrobe stylist for the original show & Devil Wears Prada, Confessions of a Shopaholic, as well as Ugly Betty tv show, Cashmere Mafia tv show, Emily in Paris.

Carrie going to the plastic surgey office, Charlotte cursing menopause, and even Lisa getting pregnent while her career is finally taking off was all something women deal with and should be able to discuss. Honey, I’m here for the fashion cycle. Give me the peplum, off the shoulder and fur. I’m a color head so I love that red, olive and yellow is a big deal for the season. A lot of these items are already in my closet so like most of us we don’t have to spend a lot of money, especially the off the shoulder trend.

The whole video was interesting. It shared a little of everything fashionable. It made the content very fun. I especially loved the segment on red lipstick 💄. I love the color red. Back in my college days, I used to be called "Lady in red". I haven't worn red lipstick in a while. Since the pandemic, I were nude lip gloss. As soon as you showed the Stila, I mumbled "That's my girl Beso." I've tried other reds and none hit like Beso for me. I had on a red last night that was gorgeous but it feathered, crumpled and rolled right off after about an hr. Thankful I was in the dark. I went to the restroom, switched colors and promptly threw it in the trash like a pair of ill-fitting drawers. You will not get a chance to trick me again! 😂 Anyways per usual- here for the good book learnin' and convo. Gonna pass on most of the trends shown here - they would wear me better. But always good to know what's out there. And your editorial picks.

Excited about the trends for fall however.. living in Florida where it does not cool down until November really makes some of the trends too warm for us. Hi Shukura, Great video -- what a tour de force. Having "your voice" as part of your channel is a natural transition. It was nice to see you discuss the trends, shopping, makeup (yes red lipstick is on my agenda) and Sex&City fashions, storylines. I enjoyed every minute. Love this variety format. I love thé péplum style because I have no hips lol and I think it helps. Looking forward to off the shoulders tops and fur coats. Really disappointing that Carrie thought Big might have been a mistake esp since that was one of the major threads in the show. I loved Samatha too. Her fashion and humor.

See, that’s why I struggle with peplum because I have all of the hips 😆 😆 I don’t need them to look any bigger than what they are 😂 Off the shoulder tops can be so sexy. love them! Carrie saying big might have been a mistake was devastating 🤦🏾‍♀️ this man went all the way to Paris to bring her back to New York she fought for years to be with this man and now he was a mistake?! A mistake?! I agree that Samantha’s fashion and humor on the show is missed, but I was so happy to see her on the last episode, even if it was just for a few seconds.

Hi there, thank you for your mature, fresh content! I am happy to say...I will ALWAYS wear a peplum blazer over a dress or with skirts and pants. I like the ones that are not overstated nor minimal...right in the middle. I keep them in great shape. I will even take them to a tailor if necessary to keep them styish, a bit fitted but not too snatched. 😊 I'm in my 60s and have had some of these pieces since my 30s! I do not "over wear" them. In fact, to keep my wardrobe "fresh" I will add a few new ones after watching your video. Keep these coming! New sub!😊

AJLT is for sure a diffrent show then what we remember! Dont expect it to be even like the Sex and the city movies. However, with that in mind, its worth a watch. Hey sis! I think that you have such a feminine style that a straight leg jean would be perfect for you! even a slightly boot cut! I think you may be too dainty for baggy jeans. A wide leg jean with a pretty blouse may also work for you! I am staying far away from low rise jeans🙅🏾‍♀️ I like mid rise. Jeans can be so tricky!

I feel like I’ve built a closet full of classic timeless pieces. I generally try to avoid the trends like peplum - not flattering. I did buy one pair of wide leg corduroys in a warm fall color. I stopped watching after Mr. Big was killed. Love those glasses you’re wearing.
