The Chevy Malibu and Chevy Corvette are the same factory also lol. Internals matter, not the builder to a certain extent. As long as you have Samwa, nichicon, etc as the internals you'll be alright.
@@DibeezyTheGifted Actually the Chevrolet Malibu is built at the Fairfax Assembly Plant, in Kansas City, Ks. And the Chevrolet Corvette is built at the Bowling Green, Kentucky Plant.
Internals matter but the PCB is fundamentally the same for everybody. The difference comes by way of how the components are specced in terms of the power supply and output section (85C vs 105C capacitors, slightly lower or higher current FETs, etc...). Every amp in each of Zenon's class will probably be ±100W of one another except for the occasional factory freak.
We love these amps. The current model is called the aak2000. We have been running one daily wired at 0.3 for 6 months now with no issues, (electrical is a ho alt, and a single northstar smsagm80 as the battery bank) and has not protected a single time. We were running another brand of the same/ similar korean board prior and it would not play at 0.3 at all if you tried to turn up the volume, just protected. And yes the quality of sound these produce is pretty tough to beat! Great video
@@ROTTBOXX haha yea we will be fully setup to build for the public in the beginning to mid December is our anticipated time frame. At that time we will be fully ready for this new expansion to our company. We really hoped to be ready by July but its just one of those things that cannot be rushed. We are very excited and the end results is well worth the extra time spent.
@@ROTTBOXX we also have 3 local guys running the aak12000s wired from 0.25 to 0.5 in daily setups and man they have been some badass amps. Not a single issue with any of them. Thats one thing I notice about the AAK vs other korean amps we have sold in the passed, the reliability has been awesome.
@@gpcaraudio I tried to get my buddy to pick one up but he just ordered an ampere 9k for his Tahoe that should be here Thursday. So looks like it's on me to try one. Gotta sell off some of my equipment before I buy any more stuff or the wife may kill me...
Picked up an AAK-4000.1d the day this video dropped... WOW!! I have the Wolfram W-4500.1 and XTR 2500.1dz ( both Korean Zennon) and this S&I amp is better. Running on a Zv5 15 dual 1@.5. The temperature feature is great. The clip limiter alone makes this amp stand above 80% of Zennon products imo. Hit a 147@36 hz last night. Not bad at all
Dibeezy ThaGifted hey bro I'm waiting for thanks giving or Christmas to buy the AAK 20,000.1D. It'll push a single nightshade 18inch. Amp is very awesome. You'll get a solid 10k watts rated @12v. Or 12k watts @14.4V or 16,000 watts @16V. The higher the voltage the more you'll get. It'll go as high as 18 V 😂. They have the AAK12,000.1D amp as well for $2,200 but the 20k amp goes for $2,500 might as well get the 20k for an extra $300 difference. It's as if the company is begging you to buy that amp. No joke. And GP audio has the best deal so far.
@@JoseFlores-fm2vc that is an insane price jump lol 2k on one amp tho I've spent 496 on my most expensive one... id get a 10k or 15k but i do not have the alt to handle it and my car is new enough that its hard to find
Glade to see you’re testing some quality amplifiers and not just the typical all Chinese crap everyone else is putting out. I believe you too when you say this amplifier sounds better than your Orion because I’ve done my own AB amp testing with my own power supply after carefully level matching to within .1 db and there is a difference in SQ between good and not so good amps. Keep up the good work Ryan and let’s get some more quality amps on the dyno.
Just a thought but it'd be neat to see you test the clipping indicator against the amp dyno. I've often wondered about the veracity of onboard clip lights and clip lights on remotes and no-one ever seems to test it. It gets mentioned as a nicety and then ignored. My thought is, how great of an extra is it if it's inaccurate?
There is more to an amp than just output wattage. This is more expensive than others in its class for a reason. Mainly it seems to be built very well. Tiffany RCA's are the first clue. Then the appropriate sized power & ground lugs. Clipping indicator is a very nice add-on The limiter is a nice feature that might save a user some $$$ in damaged equipment costs. Very well thought out amp. Definitely worth a few more dollars over the average 2200 watt Chinese equivalent. Good job Ryan!
That is nice! For the price. The remote out is a great idea. The remote on my first head unit was blown by connecting amps. It was only rated for 100 ma. Or so. Like less than 1/8 of an amp. That is nothing... I been thinking of jumping I'm to the alphard products. Maybe the sport of supersport subs. Maybe 4 12" on this amp. It would be a bit under power. But plenty. Great video...
@@bigblank69 oh no kidding that's cool. Truck as is type of sale I take It? You went from the xtr2500.1dz a while back to selling it but I don't remeber if you mentioned what amp you used after selling your Orion until now. Did you use anything else besides the deaf bonce since?
Daisy chaining amps together does NOT stress your head unit! Barevids tested a typical relay power draw compared to 8 amps in series and the relay drew more than twice as much power to switch it! Amps need almost nothing to turn on.
Great video!! Russian amp via Korea lol. What’s your thought on the Build house approach booming in car audio right now. Being only 31, I didn’t get into car audio back when brands claimed to be 100% made in The U.S. But Ive been thinking about buying and supporting only companies that are not relying in anyway shape or form on somewhere else besides the U.S. to make and sell their product. Call me crazy, but I know there’s got to be someone out there who still believes in the American dream of building your own company that employees only Americans that work to support their families and in turn helps bring back the values of American made products ,with quality being number one , over convenience or price. Sorry to rant on, but I wouldn’t mind spending more to buy something like that. Are there any car audio companies like that around still, that don’t rely on another country shipping something in that’s not made here in the U.S. ? I still can’t find enough research on it. Anyways, awesome video, I love your channel. I’ll be waiting for the next video to drop. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
God I look thro the comments and just see so many people hating and complaining. Some people like some things that other people dont. Get over it and move on. Great vid Ryan.
Not the greatest watt per dollar value but I do really dig that bass knob with all the extra bells and whistles and I love the fact that it has a clip limiter. It's pretty common to see clip limiters on pro audio stuff but I was really surprised to see it on this car audio amp. More companies should off features like this amp has.
Damn Casey beat me, lol. Anyways Ryan, nice vid, got the Wolfgram C2400.1 coming in hopefully this week, I ordered it after I saw the prototype video, hopefully you get a production model to test to verify that it performs the same as the prototype/preproduction model.
@@alexanderruiz3 took me a month after customs in California held Wolfram shipment from Korea. I was supposed to get my ano July 31st I didn't get it until the end of August.
I can't wait to get one of their apocalypse amplifiers they're just so fucking good it's nuts I'm going to end up with the four channel use two channels for my doors and bridge two for my subwoofer now I kind of wish I didn't get my Wolfram amplifier even though it's really pretty in that white. But for $50 more than I paid for that amplifier I could have got an apocalypse with 2,900 watts. Not that I'm pushing anything more than $1,500 in any my daily drivers
If you really need current for remote turn on's, the best way would be to use a relay that only requires a minimal turn-on current and just use a direct "fused" battery connection to supply the power through the relay's switching circuit! I have never really liked using a radio turn-on supply for amplifiers, I always just look for an extra unused output in the fuse box that is switched, which are usually there for other accessories that a vehicle could be equipped with!
Can’t wait to see the video for the blade series amp by massive audio! Which amp is that? I run massive audio and even though in the past the amps didn’t make the power they were great amps and sounded great!
Fantastic amp with great build quality but that price is a little too steep for what else is out there that is also quality like this. Well done Russians well done.
Thats a gem that's been shoved up people asses too much. It's looks like a cresendo bc2000 and or dc 2k. Now I'll be telling people that all three of these companies are using the same boards. I'd say this is the best quality one of the bunch but margainaly the additional 150watts could be negligable or it might actually have better quality components. But you did also have higher voltage than the cresendo tests ive seen so I'll say the extra powers from the 15+ volts you gave it. I'm not an amp guy but all the cases are the same, the prices are similar, comes from the same Korean build house, and if you can find a bc2000 board and or dc 2k board I'd bet they'd be the same as this amps board. End of story and hype please do better research, please everyone.
I just got an aak-200.4d and ditched my pioneer 8604, man the 200.4 is nice, has all the crossover adjustments you need to run active, and it works as a bandpass.. not many videos or any information on it really, all the videos are in Russian lol I'm pretty sure it meets all its ratings though.. one thing I didn't like was the amp guts, couple wires looked pretty flimsy and poorly mounted.. dyno video would be nice tho.. has clipping light only.. voltage would have been a nice touch..
The feature set alone on this amp makes it worth the price. I wouldn't buy this online, though. I'd make sure i went through a shop for warranty return issues, if any.
Thinking about pulling the trigger on the aak-4000.1d I've wanted it for a while now, and it's on preorder sale for $692, I believe it's the best amp for the price for the watts it offers, I don't think u can get anything even close for under $700 for the quality. And the bass knob is sweet
I just bought a deaf bonce 4k today along with a deaf bonce sa312 d1, now it matches my 200.4 and my sub.. I'll be running it .5ohm beating down the street.. I love love that hard hard punch in the chest and throat
I have one of these subwoofers Skar ZVX-12V2, I plan on running. My thing is I have this same exact amp in the video and an Orion XTR 2500.2. I'm trying to decide which one of these beast will give me the best sound and cleanest power to run the sub efficiently.
Still waiting for the 5 channel Soundstream. I've heard it makes a lot of power but what do they mean by a lot of power? I have one sitting new in box waiting to be installed.
@ 6:11. That is the reason why I sold my Korean made amplifiers and bought Brazilian instead. Brazilian amplifiers are three times lighter and I don’t want a brick in my daily driver considering also the weight of the speakers which I want to convert to Neo versions in the near future.
Dibeezy ThaGifted You’re nuts for being ignorant. There are various brands of Brazilian amplifiers and I have two of them which I’ve owned for more than four years with absolutely no problems. And they are way lighter than Korean bricks. Not a few ounces. If they do cause fire its due to user error. But I will tell you this, I only use the Brazilian amplifiers for midbass and midrange frequencies. I prefer Korean boards for subsonic frequencies and a high-quality American made board for the very high tweeter frequencies. And I do know there are lots of other countries like Italy that make a very high-quality class AB amplifiers for vocals and tweeters. Please do your research before bashing on a product.
Hey Ryan hey Ryan hey Ryan....any plans to test an mb quart for the budget series? I’m curious to see what numbers they are putting up these days supposed to have had a recent quality control revamp
Way over priced. Too many competitors who are more economical. I mean the APMI2K for $175 does the same. The APMI3K, XTR2500.1Dz, Wolfram 2400, PPI Back Ice 7000, Soundqubed 2250, Skar 2k, and the list goes on and on. No thanks, but again great video.
@@asilaydying1984 I'm pretty sure all the mentioned amps are Korean, excluding PPI. I have the XTRs, and they double the power of that DB for $320 each.
Ant Gio also the xtr is korean but full bridge so it can’t safely be wired below 1 ohm as to where this Alphard can easily be wired to .5 ohm daily with no problem
I Have A Pair Of 12 Inch Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 SVC Subs From The Mid 90s And They Are Rated From 750 RMS Watts Each Up To 1400 Watts Max And I Want To Run Them In A Custom Built Sealed Enclosure. I've Owned This Pair Of Subs For A Little Over 20 Years And I Have Kept Them Put Away The Entire Time And I Wanted To Know What Would Be A Good Amp To Run On Them?
@@bigblank69 Which amp had better sound quality, this or the synergy wfo2.1? I actually have a wfo2.1 and I want to get the aak4000 but I want better sound quality as well
You replaced an amp that will do 6 k with an amp that does maybe 3 k , what kind of subs are you running, type of box , just curious, you said it sounds better ?
That Orion doesn't do anywhere near 6K LOL. I clamped 2200 on mine with two group 31 AGM and a Mechman 270 in my Maxima. Impedance rise son. plus you can't wire the XTR down you be playing with absolute fire if you do mine protected 20-30 * wired at 1 ohm. Las Vegas heat tho
I've looked for sni and s&i in Korea and Google keeps redirecting me two places like Sonic electronix and other companies that sell products made by them even though I have asked Google for contact information for this company in Korea!! Of course I've even asked and highlighted that it is South Korea LOL
