Thanks Peter. A message I've heard you repeat and one I agree with is that we humans often trap ourselves in the box of understanding handed down by those "greater than us" and when we try to theorise beyond the rigid paradigm we are scorned for not staying within the aforementioned box of indisputable scientific fact... so great minds muddle and persevere often over complicating observations/explanations in an effort to fit concepts to the current model rather than remodeling the box.
I had visited a library in my town and noticed this book, had to immiediately buy it. It is amazing point of view, to see this universe through clear eyes. It forced me to visit meditation centre in my city and I still practise meditation at home. I thing this should be obliged literature in all kinds of schools.

I see consciousness, I Am, as the observer of my avatar In this life. I am interested in what role it has in life. Just the observer? Or is it the source of intuition, wisdom presenting synchronicities for spiritual growth. It certainly gives me peace.

Hi Peter, What do you think of the idea of a "Global" or even a "Universal" consciousness, as in a Pantheistic way of thinking about the world? When I go deep into meditation, "I" ceases to exist as i am just part of everything, like a rain drop in the ocean. I feel we are all just one consciousness expressing itself in a trillion different ways.
That “I” thought has really tripped me out. Who or what the hell am I than!? Lol, I’m not my thoughts or emotions or any of my feelings. I am just the thing in which is having them? I’m lost. Can I even say “I” am having them? I feel a sense of fear and anxiety rising up from this, but is that even real? I’m so confused. Does my brain create my outside world? I don’t know what’s happening to me...I’m feeling anxious. I think I’m having an existential crisis on a RU-vid comment thread. 😬 Help me Peter. Whoever “me” is. Should I be scared? It feels like the ground is shaking under my feet? 😧
Well 'I' had a brainstem injury... So as long as you xan somehow communicate the words “I am.. “ then you are.. That hug e pile of atoms is self conscious... But even if you were in a coma you would be dreaming or feelibg trapped inside your mind.. it is pure consciousness indeed like he says. But it is also your DNA, your inner child. Your soul, peace of mind, brightest potential inside. The strive that always keeps you going. Your psyche is creating a story around your ego and memories, and somewhere between body mind and soul there is the sense of YOU. And yes of course your brain is making you experience the world, but that doesn’t mean it is not real. Being afraid of reality and derealization might be a modern day phenomenon... There is divine knowledge in life itself, just relax. The meaning of life isn’t to be scared... or unhappy.. Please dont live in fear. Life is too precious.
