I reckon the monsters could be wendigos. Maybe they were once residents of the town, but a similar winter fell, causing a food shortage. Some people resorted to cannibalism, and they turned into wendigos (the monsters). also side note: the scene where Boyd is dragged into the barn, he is wearing a (clean) yelowish brown shirt. When he is with body in the wagon thing, he is wearing the same shirt but with blood on it. This means (probably) the monsters killed whoever they were torturing in front of him and left him alive for some reason. I think it was probably Kristy who dies. Like Teflon says, it looks like she's the one who gets stuck in the bear trap. She then may have been moved to the barn. The screams in the teaser Trailor sound like a young woman, and the shoes are white which are similar to the ones Kristy wears. Boyd says to her "you're so strong" in a soothing, parental type of way. Since he seems to take on a paternal role for Kristy, this seems to align with how he would speak to her. Kenny was very very upset, meaning the person who died was probably either Kristy or his mum. Given the young, American accent sounding screams and other clues, I'm betting its Kristy.
Probably a generational curse, an he is kin to Jade!! The town plays, an is made up on their fears, guilty conscious, and their hopes for a better future for themselves!! Boyd feels guilty about his wife!! (He is being tortured by her ghost, father Katri as well, I think he has a fear of spiders) Father Katri, I think was a bad preacher, and wasn't being Christian like!! Sara has a fear of not being excepted by others, an loosing the one person she loved, and cared for!! (The towns people have turned on her, as I'm guessing her family did) Her brother Nathan, his fear was the cancadas, as Sara said your fears become apart of the forest, becoming a different monster, in the forest, (I'm betting Nathan will become Sara's monster/as that was her fear) Donna feels guilty about her sister, (why she's so protective of her people, an why they keep getten taken) Boyd's son he has a fear of not being a good father, (as I'm guessing Boy'd wasn't a good father to him, they don't always see eye to eye, an he is holding on to remorse from his Dad offing his mom) That an his child becoming a monster!! (🤔Is he going to have to do the same to Fatima) Of course we have Fatima, she feared that she would never be able to have a family!! (She was told she couldn't have children, is the town going to torcher her over her pregnancy, an then take the child from her) Then you have Jim, him an his wife we're separating (He is now separated from his wife) Tabitha, she feared loosing her family, (she has now lost her whole family) Tabitha also has guilt about her baby falling off the table, (she was pushed by a boy in white off the lighthouse, before waking up in some random hospital) Kristi, she feared for her fiance back home, an hurting the people she loves!! (Her fiance was hurt she was gone, an resorted to relapsing, Kenny was hurt that his love chose someone else over him) Kenny he has a fear of loosing his family, and everyone he cares for an loves!! (He's lost his father, he feels he lost Kristi) I think Kenny will loose Kristi, an his mom!! (Loosing everyone he loves) Jade is a loner, an doesn't like to work with other's, an takes credit for others work, he let's his mind wonder, an has a obsession to finding the answers, an trying to find the pieces of his puzzle!!(He didn't have parents growing up, an was always alone with his imagination, I think the town is tourturing him slowly within his own mind, until he loses it, he's a mad man) I don't think his friend was supposed to be there, an had to go, as he was the partner of Jades work, an great mind, probably his only real friend!! The kid that lives in the bus, he has a care free attitude, an plays by his own rules, an don't like playing with a team, (The town is letting him at the moment, but will all catch up to him, as we've seen how well it went for him following his own rules, an trusting no one) The kid Eldridge (I think) from the bus, was having visions/dreams before he got there, (I think he has a fear of drowning, an water, which will somehow play apart with the lake) he is connected some how to the town, not positive yet, but he could possibly be (the baby in Fatima stomach from the future) I think he said he was raised by his grandmother!! Victor, he's a loner, he's been there for so long, he now thinks of the place as home, (his fear is loosing everyone again!) That's why he doesn't get close to anyone anymore, an has survived on his own, with his inner child stuck there!! (He also now feels guilty about his sister he long forgot about, because he didn't protect her, which will all play out) Tilly, she's very suspect, she also said she had 4 kids, and 7 grandchildren!! (Could those 7 Akooey children be the grandkids)They are all connected by their past, present, and future!! So could Tabitha be Victor's sister?? (Tabitha didn't look like Tabitha in the reflection of the mirror)So is she set out to find herself, once she finds the children, an over come herself freeing her from her own guilt, an fears!! (What the monsters feed on) The lighthouse is a sign of hope, if the flame goes out, all hope is lost, (The town will go dark) an the cycle continues!! I think the boy in white, is the protector, an guardian, of the flame, with his guard dogs!! (That's why they always redirect them the wrong way) They are all on their own missions, an will have to over come them together!! It'll probably end up being Ethan having to save everyone, through his story's in the end being the brave hero!! (The stories are most likely his mom Tabatha's stories, an books she actually wrote, from her experience, an time in From Town, as Eloise as a child) Could have something to do with the books in the tunnels!!🤔 Tabitha would be the chronicle, an Victor the dragon, in the story!! 🤷 I think they all have to talk, an work together, to figure out each of their families generational curse, an why they are being torcherd by it, all well individually getting over their fears, guilt, remorse, all well not loosing all hope!! I think it's the only way to get out Alive!! I think that's why Victor is still there, he's over come his fears, after running, an hiding for so long, alone, an scared, an doesn't let the town get to his head now, why he blocked everything out from that day his mom, an sister left!! The monster's can't feed off of you if you have no fears, or guilty conscious, so he forgot about them, but now, now they know, about his mom, and sister, an he is now at risk because of this!! I think it's all a mind game, a test, a mission, to see who can overcome themselves, their family pain, an trama, an their own minds, in order to survive, an break the curse, an return back to the real world!!!
Hear me out. THEY ARE PUNISHING KENNY!!!!! Everytime they make a connection KENNY suffers. His dad.. Christie girlfriend coming.. and his mom possibly dying
I believe they have a FAIRY PROBLEM! Julie Mathews mentioned Secret Fairies in one of the Episodes. If you look at M Night Shymalans (Watchers Movie) there are similar aspects in that movie that were similar to FROM show.
@@TeflonTv i thought so, but i watched again. In that original scene, it could appear that jade is bathing in the blood, which probably set the spirit of the soldier off. Yes, i definitely could be wrong of course.
Just some thoughts, Kristi is wearing the red hat in the season 3 picture. She is with Jade and Kenny. Also, quick scene of Julie being held down screaming which sounds just like the scream from the barn. And the theory of the old lady pretending to be ethans mom is correct because julie says "its not mom, lets go!"
I think the townspeople might resort to cannibalism because they are running out of food. Maybe that will lead to them becoming wendigos… which might be what the monsters are for the same exact reason. 🤔
Tony Teflon, This is my theory about S3. Would love to hear your thoughts. In its simplest form, the show and S3 is divided into three acts (3 episodes each) with the cliffhanger in episode 10. IMO and based on the trailers, the first act immediately starts with Jade in cave seeing the symbol rotate/move (eg. turning like a clock). Jade returns from the cave with the new mysterious revelation which leads Jade to question the cyclical nature of From. Within Act 1, Jade talks to ghost Tom at the bar and Tom will encourage him that he is the only one who can solve the new mystery about the rotating symbol and stop the cycle from repeating. Jade questions if people are brought to town to fulfill a specific role like himself? Boyd follows Gus and sees the BIW in the woods in daylight telling him to "shh." At the end of E1, snow starts to fall and a new arrival (ambulance) will appear at night mirroring Donna's night arrival. The ambulance driver will die similarly to Donna’s sister and Randall will try to come to their aid (Molotov cocktail?) but will have a flashback to the cave causing him to convulse on the ground. Boyd and some residents will run outside and the massacre begins with the cop shooting at monsters. Meantime, Tabitha awakens in the hospital from a vision/dream of the BIW who tells her she must find Eloise to save her family in From. She is finally released after meeting with psychologists/psychiatrists and she is shocked at where she is located (maybe 1978 but most likely present time). Tabitha learns of Eloise from the staff at the hospital or from the priest who knows Eloise and her last name is revealed to have exactly five letters with repeating letters (eg Allen). Since Victor has become a major character and 12 characters have exactly 11 letters in their names (eg Rhudra Khatri, Jim Matthews, etc) and 21 characters have repeating letters in their name (eg. "nn" "ll" "bb" etc), I suspect the writers will follow the same pattern (Victor and Eloise (6 letters) + five letters in last name = 11 letters in total). During the massacre, the monsters set fire outside the bar and the livestock are released by the monsters as a distraction and Boyd runs into the barn with Tian Chen and captured. Julie and Ethan are attacked by Granny Monster while the monsters in the barn are torturing Tian Chen. Jade and Sara run outside to help Julie and Ethan and more monsters appear. All livestock are eventually murdered by the monsters as well as some red shirts and Tian Chen dies. Jade is saved by Victor who pushes him into a Farway tree and Jade ends up in the root cellar. Sara saves Julie and Ethan. The massacre concludes by E3 with the death of Tian Chen and the monsters walking away in unison after a loud sound is heard under the barn. Meanwhile, Tabitha checks out of the hospital looking for Henry in the real world. In the root cellar, Jade has another vision of the symbol driving him further mad. END OF FIRST ACT. Second act begins with the funeral and burial of Tian Chen. During Act 2, snow is falling more heavily and there will be total food loss and crop degradation. Sara takes over the diner handing out food rations. Colony House and the town will argue over the food reserves with Randall and Dale in the middle of the debate. Boyd will have a vision of Khatri telling him he could not stop the massacre and advises that he should not bury the bodies but put them in the snow or root cellar (eg hinting at future cannibalism). Elgin will have a vision of a flood/catastrophe or most likely Fatima's death. Fatima has a vision of complications about her pregnancy and teeth falling out and starts to become very ill. New arrival (Acosta) chooses to live in town and joins Boyd on the “police force” because Kenny is too upset to perform his job. Jim has a vision about the phone ringing and the voice on the phone (the same voice that was on the radio) tells Jim he must find Tabitha and bring her and Eloise back to From in order to bring balance back to From. Mari, Julie and Randall have visions of the ghoulish kids and being tortured in the dungeon. Randall learns of the cave and strongly advocates going on the attack. In the second act, Victor goes on a “quest” to find something he buried which will be revealed to be drawings of the evil entity and a complete map of all of the monster tunnels. Tabitha finds Henry who is Eloise’s Father, and learns Eloise is institutionalized. In the basement, she will find a particular drawing/painting that constitutes one-half of the “map to the rainbow sky” which is a map that will eventually allow her to return to From in upcoming seasons. Tabitha does not know how to read the map (it looks similar to peach truck mural) and realizes that she must talk to Eloise. During Act 2, Kenny and Jim will go to find the lighthouse and they will camp at night and experience their tent being moved. When they exit the tent in the morning, they will find that the tent was moved close to a totem and both will see the stone altar (bottom right of S3 poster & bottom left of cave mural). Kenny returns to town with the totem and Jim continues on his journey to the lighthouse. Boyd will have another vision of Abby asking him to help her and he will enter a Farway tree and end up in the caves with Victor’s extensive map of the cave system and a talisman in his pocket. The monsters will be asleep. END OF ACT 2. Act 3 begins and the snow is falling hard and the Fromlanders are forced to go into the forest in groups to scavenge for food. Ellis and Donna will continue to care for Fatima who is increasingly becoming sicker. Jim continues to the lighthouse and encounters some type of obstacle (eg. getting lost and walking in circles). Kenny, Jade and Kristi go into the forest to find the “others” encampment after examining the totem Kenny brought back. In the forest, Kristi gets her foot caught in the bear trap and she is carried by Jade and Kenny, and then Jade has a vision of the guy drinking out of the skull. All three encounter the three totems and continue to proceed to the "others" encampment. In the meantime, Henry helps Tabitha visit Eloise in the institution. Eloise is non-communicative until she sees the lunchbox. Inside the lunchbox is the red toy with crayons inside that Miranda gave Victor in the root cellar. Tabitha puts the two drawings in front of Eloise (one of Victor’s drawings and one of Eloise’s drawings/paintings from the basement). Eloise pulls out the exact red toy with crayons inside that her mother also gave her in the root cellar and starts to draw but the camera cuts away and we do not see what she draws. Jim reaches the lighthouse and starts to climb the stairs and encounters his son’s finger puppets. He reaches the top and the BIW tells him he is not allowed to leave and pushes him down the stairs. His foot is caught in the rope and he is left hanging upside down. Boyd uses Victor’s cave map to try find a way out of the cave, but the monsters awake. Boyd is forced to climb into one of the cells and he pulls out the talisman and hangs it over the door of the cell. The monsters cannot enter the prison cell because of the talisman and continue to stand at its entrance. Boyd is trapped in the caves with the monsters and the camera cuts away as an ominous sound is heard in the background. Kenny, Jade and Kristi reach the houses and start to open the door with Kristi dying. Kenny and Jade are shocked to see the back of a very elderly man dressed in all white sitting in a chair. Kristi dies in Kenny’s arms. END OF ACT 3. Just a crazy tinfoil theory and I would love to hear your thoughts.
I'm wondering if they eat people or if they eat the monsters while they are in human form. One of the skulls had what appeared to be nails in it. This reminded me of Hellraiser for some reason and how they would torture their victims to consume their soul. Stephen King has written about multiple universe's that somehow intertwined (hope this makes sense) where the monsters take on a form to gain trust and get close to you, especially children. Just my thoughts....
the shot with the 3 hellspawn scarecrows with the "believable and scary as hell" quote has a set of structures in the background that don't look like town. I could be wrong but if cannibals were an outside threat they'd probably be in a town with some mannequins from the black lagoon around the perimeter
VVouldn't everyone be rocking their socks over their jeans to protect them from the elements once the snovv began to fall? VVhy do you suspect others vvouldn't collaborate to this extent to ensure everyone's being safe, etc.
If i can remember correctly one of them wore this exact beenie already in a previous episode They kill ellis off and i believe kenny might die also What i dont understand is why they dont put doors on the entrences of the monsters and put the runes of them
I agree but he was only a kid and he was alone a long time after the massacre until other people came. I think he's trying to remember more now that Tabitha got him to open up, I mean he's pretty traumatized lol.
And when the Matthews arrive it's almost as he knows something is wrong. He tells Ethan that something is wrong and that the "cycle" is messed up in S1.
We going live again? I cant wait. because i missed last nights live. It was 4:30 this side when it started🥲. Wont miss tonights live though. Thank you Tony.
"effigy" is the right term for those scarecrow-Voodoo-Type dolls, sorry for correcting, you also find a shitton of explanation under this word on wiki etc. My guess: normally they are manmade to scare other tribes so Jim and Kenny meet other survivors or a site where other survivors where some time ago.
If you look Close you can see a little piece of Kennys Mom sweater when Boyd is carrying the body in the church.. I thought it was blood at first but nah that’s her for sure.
That cannibal guy is an hallucination jade is having. In the first season, Jade hallucinated a civil war soldier and this guy is also wearing clothing that comes from the same time period. I think the place is a lot older than it looks and jade is seeing visions of people who ended up there in the 1800s.
@TeflonTv the clothes are certainly historic, maybe not specifically 1860s but definitely not modern. I think he's seeing different people who've been caught in that place throughout it's history, and perhaps they can also see him. Maybe time doesn't work like it does in the real world there, and certain people are able to see visions of people who have been there, are there, and will be there. Kind of like how bran could see things in game of thrones when he became the 3 eyed raven.
Dude. Calling Kristi “the nurse” is equivalent of calling Boyd “the night watchman” don’t be so dismissive it comes off as a lil misogynistic ya know? Just trying to help here. 😅
The person that got caught in the bear trap has brown boots on with white fur around the top. It's not white socks. In the scene at the pool with Kristi and boyd, she has white sneakers on
