As a German I agree with you. This "Big Five"-Thing should be abolished, everyone should have the same chance, to get to the grand final. But apart from that, I would like to see more emphasis on the songs in general, rather than on the image of the country. Maybe we Germans will finally manage not to finish in last place again. :D
FYI Greece gave 12 points to Finland. Have somehow waited for you do Cha Cha Ch the official video it is soo good. One of my favorite was Norway, way more powerful than Sweden and also Estonia was so good. France was good, but the performance was a little odd.

I understand your point of view about how every artist should be considered equally, without automatic qualification for the Big Five + host, and I agree. However, giving the decision to the jury for the semi-final means that a band such as Lord of the Lost would never qualify. As we all saw from the final's jury's votes. I would personally either totally get rid of jury's votes or ask them to justify, on screen, their notes based on the 4 points they were supposed to follow for each artist. When people are hiding, it is easier for them to be unfair and political.
