We said goodbye to the Baltics and took the ferry and an overnight train to start our trip in Finland.
It was certainly another challenge to keep the kids occupied and entertained for the big travel day. However it was all worth it when we saw the amazing scenery in Rovaniemi

Wow! You just blew our minds! Thanks for letting us know. We clearly didn't do our research. We assumed as Finland was once part of the Swedish Empire. Oh well, looks like we'll have to go back to that corner of the world soon!

@@travelwiththecoopers Scandinavia includes Norway, Sweden and Denmark. These days people say that Finland is part of Fennoscandia which includes Finland, Karelia and Kola peninsula. Welcome back to visit our wonderful country again

@@travelwiththecoopers You are correct, Finland was a part of Sweden for 600y, thats why Swedish still is the 2nd offcial language. The term "Scandinavia" is often used as a synonym for the entire Nordic region. Though officially, in the happy Nordic family of DEN FIN ICE NOR SWE, the 3 monarchies DEN NOR SWE are called Scandinavia.
