That’s the true definition of a hero. A selfless endeavor. He thought he lost his job. Instead he was honored and was able to get some of these folks a job with Citibank. At least there, at that time anyway, was a glimmer of hope from a banking giant

A civilian was able to do this?!!!! What a slap to the US government.... abandoning Afghanistan like it recently did. This guy obviously understands the honor in not leaving anyone behind!
@BethelAbba
@BethelAbba 2 года назад
I think it's more than that..... consider that Citibank (in my book a greedy corporation to the core) honored the man and sought to give the rescued refugees a life and work in the US..... now considering that, look at all the abandoned people in Afghanistan... by all those corporations with billions of dollars to their claim.... who just as quickly cut all ties with their employees living there. What a true and serious shame. Greedy for Billions... and not willing to spent a single cent on their own workers to help save them. What a sad era we live in.

I’m glad Citi did well by them- they’d never have found more loyal employees. Plus think about how smart that was- with all the refugees resettling they’d then have a huge cache of cultural knowledge to draw from before any other American bank in servicing them as customers.
