In a new series presenting archived footage shot by the late Wayne Ward, we see Steam Incorporated's J 1234, and GVR's own Ja 1250, hauling a Railfans Photographers special on the Glenbrook Vintage Railway, on 27 February 1999.
J 1234 was present active at the GVR from 1998 to 2002 in her last few years of service, before being stored from 2002-2015. In 2015, she was delivered back to Steam Incorporated, along with Da 1410. Link to that video is here; • The Big Move
This new series is dedicated to Wayne, who left me with a small handful of the decades of rail history he shot during his era. The footage is being used with permission from two of his closest friends.

This is awesome thanks, love the nil wind noise on the audio, although as one can see it happens to be one of our more delicious weather days this winter so far.

When I went to the GVR JA1250 was the highlight of my day. Hopefully she can be certified sometime soon. Hopefully 1234 comes back in some capacity sometime in the near future. She's a classic locomotive around NZ
